LogMeIn Already Installed - How can I access it?
I'm trying to install LogMeIn on a POS server at one of our places. Turns out that the company we use for support already installed LogMeIn on this machine. How can I get access to the machine? Can I somehow add my account to it as well? Thanks, Carsoncarsonhager7 years agoNew Member1.3KViews0likes1CommentUpdate of Thirdy part

I've been a subscriber for a number of years, never with any sort of problem, but the main reason I do subscribe is to communicate with my work computer from home, and sometimes vice versa. But the work computer is on the Disney network (I workon an ABC TV show), and today I was unable to connect. After consulting our IT guy, I found out that Disney has decided to block LogMeIn due to "a backdoor exploit that hackers were able to easily access" that was "a huge security breach, not with Disney, but with some other conglomerate companies, and so Disney was not wanting to take the risk until it gets patched up." Is this something that LogMeIn is aware of, and if so, is this going to be patched fairly quickly? If so, or if it has already been patched up, you really ought to reach out to Disney and let them know about it. I also need to know when this will be resolved, since if it isn't going to be soon, I need to come up with another option. Thank you.Claster7 years agoNew Member2.3KViews0likes1Commentreconnecting to client
I have been using Logmein Central for over 10 years and the reconnecting feature has never worked. Now that you own GoToAssist why not use that piece of their software. GoToAssist reconnect feature works flawlessly when rebooting a client and logging off and on with a different user. I can do software updates all day long with GoToAssist. You have raised your prices to match the industry, giveus thefunctionality that goes with that extra cost.BWight7 years agoNew Member1.2KViews0likes1CommentAppalling Telephone Systems
Trying to get through to anyone at LogMein for either support, billing, renewals, account information, subscriptions in fact anything is near impossible. I've tried numerous times dialling numbers in UK and Ireland and selected the options and been placed on hold with interminable music and no indication of queue length, position or expected wait time. Since the devs here at logmein are **bleep**ing sleeping all the time, I thought I'd let you know that your iOS app does not work on iOS 12. I mean, it's only been out for 2.5 weeks so it's not like you've had any time to put out something that works :sarcasm: I can't wait to quit you as you charge WAY too much and offer horrible support.nikhsub17 years agoActive Contributor1.1KViews0likes1CommentTips for Large Accounts
I'd like to get some input from anyone that has a large account. I have 8000 units currently and I'd like to hear any helpful informationto help navigate problems with Central when using Large accounts. If there is valuable input, I'll aggregateit here. Split groups into < 1000 I find that 800 is a good number for groups. It seems to be the best compromise between ease of use and responsiveness. Any more and I start to get browser failures. Smaller becomes a headache for managing the total units. Use the desktop client If you need to connect to a machine, but not for O2M or alerts, use the desktop client. It is much more responsive than the web site in general, especially when opening multiple connections at once. Internal Error (19) With such a large deployment, this is bound to happen a lot. I'm open to any other ideas. Here are some that I'm curious about: Better browser? I have problems when logging in to remote computers, I'm perfect for the application but when trying to access any online computer it says connecting but then it goes down and indicates that it tries again. The support in these cases must be 24/7 these disappointed because nobody helps me. If it is a payment service, they should respond faster or at least inform what is happening.solismovil17 years agoNew Member972Views0likes1CommentCan access PC over LAN

We have a large list of computers (in the thousands). We would like to add some new dimensions (i.e categories / custom fields) to be able to search them based on different criteria (specifically when running task list or even to tune the roles and permissions). We know there's a manual method of going through each computer and setting the custom fields. That is more time confusing. Is there a more programmtic way to achieve this ? either via API or directly from the computer inventory itself somehow ? Suggested enhancements for LogMeIn Central Login Policy Password Strength: Strong password settings are hard-coded. It would be better to provide customers with the flexibility to set the parameters. For example, if the enterprise company policy is 8 alphanumeric characters, including upper/lower case, numbers, and at least one special character, there is no way to enforce this policy since the settings are currently hard-coded. Login Process: The option to set up two-factor settings at the enterprise level should be allowed without allowing the users to control where the one-time codes should be sent. The LogMeIn administrator should be able to control where to send the code. Time-out: The timeout is hard-coded, but it would be better to allow customers to set up the configuration. The option should still have enterprise setting for all users without allowing users to set up their own timeout. Suggested enhancements for Control Panel on Desktop or Server: The LogMeIn Control Panel on the desktop should have the option for an administrator password to access the control panel and set the parameters instead of allowing users to modify some of their settings that are not controlled by the “Host Preferences Package”. These settings include: Send an Invitation, Share a File, Personal Password, IP Address Filtering, etc…RR18187 years agoNew Member1.7KViews0likes0CommentsProblems with LogMeIn Client
I have two problems. Firstly, when I am remotely accessing a computer, I can not type anything on my computer. Anything I try to type on my computer, even though the remote session is minimized, typing goes out on the remote computer and not on my computer. When I try to connect to another computer remotely, I can not because I can not enter the access credentials (user and password or code of the LogMeIn computer). I noticed that on some remote computers, the problem occurs when I maximize the LogMeIn Client window or when I type something on the remote computer. The problem only resolves when I close all sessions and close the LogMeIn Client, so I can re-enter it on my computer. Remembering that I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the LogMeIn Client and the problem occurs not only on my computer but on other computers in my company as well. Another problem: on some computers that access remotely, when running some application that requires user account control (Windows UAC), the mouse and remote keyboard stop working, I can no longer play on the remote computer. The problem is only resolved after the user clicks access credentials (when the computer requires administrative credentials) or click OK. Just like in the first case, this also occurs on more than one computer in my company (actually, in all of them). This is delaying our tasks, hampering our productivity too much. Please, I need a solution to these problems. Thank you.CarlosJ7 years agoNew Member9KViews1like16CommentsAre the contents/credentials encrypted inside of the deployed msi/exe install package?

The problem with Windows Restart appears to be Logmein Central which also: - can no longer give Computer Info without telling you the computer is offline, - can't go to the machine Logmein Main Menu without a script error, - will not do the new View Monitor Beta. Support is terrible. I pay way too much for a product that cannot provide proper support. I bought a product that has an antivirus packaged. I am now told it is a 3rd party program and not supported. I do not pay Kaspersky, I pay Log Me In. My employee was told from LMI support thatthey are phasing out Kaspersky and are no longer going to support it, that is why it most likely has issues rolling out. I called in today asking for a way to remove from all the clients w/o remoting into each one. I was told they don't support it. When pushed I was offered a command line option from a support person who had NO CLUE how to use command. They told me to go to downloads folder and run the removal tool in command. I asked what the commands are and where the removal tool is, no answer other than 'it is in downloads'. She put me on hold, then hung up. I called back I keep being put on hold then hung up on. It is off hours at 7:30-747 EST 2/7/18. She has now hung up on me 4x w/o taking my calls. I did not threaten or harrass. I just stated my point that I am expecting support for a product that rolls out the antivirus, I need a way to remove w/o remoting into each system individually.Gfree7 years agoNew Contributor1.4KViews0likes2CommentsTime will tell, this is the end
I raised the Russia/Kaspersky issue, it was blown off, to a degree. I had issues with One2Many, blown away, practicall no support. Again, my opinion, they want their overall "picture" to look good enough for a suitor (like Microsoft?) to eventuall buy them.
