Im trying to control an old Mac still running MAC OS 10.7.5. The LogMeIn installer I tried to install said it worked only with 10.10 or later. The old Mac says all updates are installed. Any idea how to either work around to get an newer OS on the 8 year old Mac or find a functioning LogMeIn installer that will install on a computer running Mac OX 10.7.5.? When trying to install logmein getting an error 1920 that the services need a valid permission. the permissions are set these are new computers out of box setup as admin. I really need a fix for this as we use Logmein Central for all of our Matcotools distributors and we cant install logmein on these systems all the sudden. I cant seem to find a fix for it anywhere. Our installer is a MSI but it does it on EXE as well. I think its a windows 10 update that might not be compatible with the installer, or its something else. One issue I am having is the security console will not open on any client. You click on the icon and nothing happens. It does not matter what version of windows. Hello, we are looking into setting up self-service passwords in Office 365 for our end users in January 2020. We currently keep a log of passwords in an encrypted password database, but if they begin to manage their own passwords, I'm trying to figure out how the IT staff can remote connect to their computers via LogMeIn and use stored credentials for 1Password or LastPass, so that we don't need end user interaction while we are working on their computers, as most of our users work remotely in field jobsites and aren't always in front of their computers. Since recent renewal of our central account, we have inherited the ability to remotly access the file system and command prompt of the remote machine - whilst one one hand these may be usefull features, they create us a massive security problem. Our remote users, customers and technicians now have access to the file system of the machine which they did not before and they are locked out of totally when accessing in the machine in person. Out remote machines host catalogues of music, karaoke, music video, graphics templates and footage which are all copyright protected and protecting them is what brings the core value to our business. We urgently need to stop either everyone or ideally selected users or user groups from accessing the File system and command prompt interface on the remote machine. Get 403 answer when I'm calling the API for Antivirus details
Hi I try to get all antivirus details from my hosts by using the API. When I'm calling the API for getting the hosts list via/public-api/v2/hosts it's working fine, but when I call/public-api/v1/hosts/anti-virus/details with the same Authorization I get a 403 answer. Which feature of the central should be used to let users download and install the remote help widget without having to enter the admin password. ( it think it's something that uses the browser as the remote gateway) This is the case with company users who don't have the LogMeIn installed on their machine and will need occasional support when offsite. I'm trying to finally move from Internet Explorer to Chrome. However, with Chrome, when I try accessing any of my hosts, I get the Dashboard with a window stating "Launching LogMein Clinet in a moment ... Did it start?", with "1.Maybe Chrome is waiting for your permission to start the application?.. 2. ....3..." ,and with a pop-up window asking if I want to Open LogMein Client. When I click "Open LogMein Client", I get not just a new Tab as in IE, but a new window. If I access more than one client, I end up getting multiple Dashboards and multiple new windows. Can I open with multiple Tabs inside one window, and do so without being prompted to open the LogMein client each time? Recently noticed on win7 and win10 pc's that at the windows log in screen I lose keyboard and mouse control. Sometimes I'm able to use the button to use saved credentials and then log in and then it doesn't respond. After short while it then reconnects but same problem. I created 2 packages: one to deploy application via GPO and one to manual install on stand-alone pc. In both cases, after the package it installed, it doesn't log to the network then I must log-in to computer and manually insert user/psw to log to my network. Is possible to automate this procedure so, after the installation, the computer will automatically go on-line and I find it in the control panel? I wish there was a way... something that would be in the notification tray that would allow my users to "tell me their problems" something they could click on and have a message window that appears that they could type in plain English what is wrong. This could show up in alerts be set to alert packages. I would be able to review and acknowledge the same way that I acknowledge virus threats or other alerts I get. If possible where the alert with the message would be, there would be a link to direct connect to that users PC. Hi, I need to disable captcha on our client machines. I understand the only way to do this is to change our password? Before I do this how, will it affect our remote clients. Will they all need the new password inputting after we change it? If the answer is yes, is there a password retention policy in place as I can change it then change it back. I have several MacBook Pro and iMacs that are less than a year old. LogMeIn Central client is installed and connects to the LMI account. The LMI client is set to start at system boot, etc. It looks fine when I am checking while setting at the client. A short time later (hour or two) I check remotely and LMI Central shows the clients as offline. The clients are fine when accessing the Internet. What would cause the LMI client to stop connecting to account so I wouldn't see it in LMI Central? We connect to a few customers VPN connections to support them. Cisco AnyConnect and Pulse are two of them and are two of the more popular VPN vendors out there. I just found out about two weeks ago we were being forced into LogMeIn AV. I installed it on a few computers and all seemed fine. I installed it on a few others that connect to VPNs and they all fail stating that the host does not have a valid anti virus. I have called support two times without any help. There is no LogMeIn AV team with LogMeIn? I can't believe no one else has posted about this issue yet. My organization has begun using Logmein for remote access. I am aware that Windows XP is no longer supported by Logmein, but we have a couple of machines that still need to use Windows XP. I was able to install the Logmein software on the XP machines using an old installer. The machines show up in LMI Central, but if I try to connect to one of them using a web browser (seems to be the same on any browser), it directs me to download the Chrome extension for LMI, which is a broken link and seems to no longer exists. I am able to skip the installation of the extension and access the machines remotely through Java, but this method is cumbersome. If I try to access one of the machines through the LMI mobile app, I just get a message that says "Network Error", and I can't access the Windows XP machines. I've updated a handful of PC's to the LMI Anti-Virus. I went to search by all of the PC's that show "LogMeIn AV" in the search field, which then displayed all PC's that we're installed with LMI AV. But when I export the list, thelist doesn't show just those computers, it shows all computers. I am not sure if this is related to the other content/SSL issue reported in the community (https://community.logmein.com/t5/LogMeIn-Central-Discussions/Logmein-AV-Block-Certificate-credentials-from-sites-https/m-p/209848#M6334) I am having the pictured error on one of our endpoints with LMI AV. This endpoint is a brand new machine with a clean install of Windows 10 PRO. We install LogMeIn, and then we push the LMI AV to the computer. Everything in the web control panel reports as OK. Applying the policy to the machine should hide the icon. To remedy the issue, we have tried an uninstall and reinstall with no luck. From the pictures provided, you can see that there is a persistent content control error, and the icon remains in the tray (perhaps due to the persistent content control error). Hi all, having a issue that started happening around 2 months ago. Getting the following error:LogMeIn Client.exe Failed to start client application. Access is denied. when trying to run the logmein client. Here is a screenshot of the error: Here is my work flow: 1. Logmein central in latest version of Chrome. 2. Clicked on a device, and it initiated the LogMeIn Client.exe download. 3. Once downloaded I opened it and the following error appeared: "LogMeIn Client.exe Failed to start client application. Access is denied." Running: Windows 10 Pro, 1803. ChromeVersion 76.0.3809.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) Avast Cloud Care antivirus. Some windows logs: at the time of the error: svchost (5612,D,22) SRUJet: A request for a node on an empty page (Pgno: 8180) has been made (error -351) for a B-Tree (ObjectId: 38, PgnoRoot: 176) of database C:\WINDOWS\system32\SRU\SRUDB.dat. This is typically due to a lost I/O from storage hardware. Please check with your hardware vendor for latest firmware revisions, make changes to your controller's caching parameters, use crash consistent hardware with Forced Unit Access support, and/or replace faulty hardware. But I dont believe it has anything to do with this. I have tried first level support in Logmein phone support and they were not able to help. Hi It would be really handy to be able to create a set of tags that can be assigned (one or more) to devices in the list, and to be able to filter the list on one or more of them. At the moment, if there's something we need to do to multiple machines (e.g. install new vpn client) we edit the machine name and add a tag at the end to highlight that it's been done for a particular device. We can then filter the view by searching for the tag if we need to. This method is a complete pain though when it comes to taking the 'tag' off of all the devices once the process is completed. (By the way - bug alert - If you right click a device's 'Computer Properties' spanner icon and open in a new tab more than three times at once, the details of one of the devices will get copied over the properties of the other ones you opened (Chrome, Windows 10)) The 'Groups' idea in the current interface doesn't really cut it as a device can only be in one group, andyou need to know which group it's in when looking for it alphabetically as it were. Ideal would be to be able to select multiple devices in the list, and select one or more predefined tags from a dropdown (up near the 'Add group' button maybe?), at which point the tags are assigned. The same process could be used to remove tags from multiple devices (any tags linked to any of the selected devices would be highlighted in the dropdown and selecting any of them again deselects it and removes the tag from any devices that have it). I am requesting that LMI consider a Display Settings feature. We organize our servers and workstations by Organizational Units e.g. Department, Branch office. We have added custom fields for Phone extension, User, and IP address. I am constantly clicking on the the fields select list to the right and unchecking Group so I can see the custom fileds. Since all of our computers are already sorted in groups, the Groups field is redundant. Hi, I am trying to provide urgent remote support to one of my stores but am, once again, NOT receiving these security codes so that I can log into the site. As per previous support advice, I am trying logmein.com and beta.logmein.com and gamma.logmein.com but NONE are returning the one-time code via email. This makes it IMPOSSIBLE to use logmein as a reliable remote support product as I cannot log into the service. This seems to be happening mosty at weekends, which is ridiculous. Hi LMI Team, I am reporting another issue with LMI AV that needs to be addressed. I create a LMI AV policy. This policy will have Silent Mode enabled (checked). I then deploy the AV through LMI to lets say a group of 10 computers. I am finding that about 10% of the machines deployed to (at random locations) will not abide by the Silent Mode policy. This means the icon is still visiable in the tray and the user has full access, etc. The policy listed in the web interface IS the correct policy with the correct settings (except for one locations where the policy is blank on one endpoint and I cannot apply a policy even through I try to push it through the web interface). I have tried to uninstall the prodcut locally and reapply the install through the LMI interface. I have tried an update from the LMI AV endpoint interface. None of these solutions have changed anything. Can you please advise on how to resolve this issue. All systems in question are Windows 10 PRO, 1903.I am happy to provide more information as needed. It sort of feels like the LMI AV still needs some final tweaking to work 100%. Can you please update the forum as well on when we can expect some fixes and patches to remidiate some of the issues.
