Need to have auto reply for text messages
Similar to emails, Gotoconnect needs the ability to have a customized automatic responder to people who send text messages. For example, if "John Doe" sends a text message to a Gotoconnect phone number, the recipient (i.e., such as me) should have the ability to create an automatic customized text message, particularly if the recipient will be away from the office for a certain period of time. Right now, on the Gotoconnect mobile app, there is a text autorespond feature for only incoming phone calls. Which makes no sense to have it since anyone who calls can get a voicemail message.4KViews7likes13CommentsMore Robust Schedules and Holiday scheduling
It would be great when you create a schedule that you could color code the schedule with day mode, night mode, AND LUNCH mode with out having to make a second schedule. That would mean the schedule tab would need to have a 4th option for lunch. I would also like to see a node that can be drawn to "holiday schedule" node in the dial plan. The holiday tab could be set up how it is not with admins being able to set the dates and times of the holiday but then they would also be able to add a sound clip to each of the holidays that are scheduled. This would make it so admins don't have to login all the time to change the holiday message OR is they forget then a customer isn't hearing the Thanksgiving message at Christmas time2.4KViews0likes17CommentsDifferentiate between internal and external calls
Yealink supports having different ringtones to differentiate between internal and external incoming calls. However, they require that this feature also be supported by the VoIP service, which is not something GoToConnect currently supports.2.4KViews12likes10CommentsSelectable Caller ID on outbound calls within app
We have local telephone numbers in multiple provinces across Canada. If I am calling a BC customer I should be able to easily select my outbound number display by a dropdown and show my BC number rather than my Toronto number (the same way that I can if I am sending a SMS message). Presently, one has to go into the PBX admin and select the default outbound caller ID - not user friendly for someone who is not an admin or even is an admin and needs to make this change multiple times in a day.2.2KViews1like1CommentEnable IP Phone wallpaper/background changes through PBX
The university I work for takes pride in our branding. We were previously able to edit the wallpaper/background image on our phones with full color screens to display our logo through the PBX. We recently had a request to update the image, but upon looking through our Jive/Goto admin panels the option is no longer available. I spoke with customer service yesterday and they requested that I host the image on a public site and provide them with a link to the image. I obliged, but our screens still do not reflect the changes. Are there any plans to bring back this capability in the admin panel of the PBX, or will we have to find a way to script the changes to individually target each compatible device?2.1KViews6likes15CommentsFax History Log
We are starting to use the GoTo fax service and found that is is lacking a fax history log. We also need to be able to view the content and attachments of the fax and resend them if necessary. This is a crucial function for companies to have the ability for admin to centrally manage this.2.1KViews12likes5CommentsAnalytics - Pause Reasons by Agent
Currently the agent can select a reason they are pausing yet as a supervisor I cant see any breakdown of those options, so why have them? The only good this does if the supervisor is watching the queue LIVE and can see the reasons there and only there. We would like to see a break down of pauses reasons selected by the agent. Included would be for how long they are on pause and the reason they selected.1.9KViews3likes16CommentsAdd an SMS Text node to the dial-plan
It would be great if there was a node available in the dial-plan editor to send a preformatted text message to the caller. This has many use cases, such as in the auto-attendant for the caller to receive a text with the URL for an online order menu, a website, a location, etc... I know we can do this using the HTTP Notify node. But this requires integrating with a 3rd SMS provider. Why go to a 3rd party provider when SMS is already built into GoTo1.9KViews6likes8CommentsAdd Voicemail to Report
Hello! Am I missing something that voicemails left on any line are not recorded? So once the call goes to VM there is NO recording just doesn't show anything on the call reports? Like the caller never left any VM? This is me testing and leaving a 2 minute VM, that was received, yet no recording of it in the reports? I really do believe this to be an oversight, how do we go about reporting this ? Its not an enhancement, it should have always been there so I'm not sure how to go about this, maybe its a bug? In the old PBX, Devices and Hardware were separate. Devices were billable items, including profiles using only the softphone, while Hardware referred to phones and other physical equipment that could then be assigned to Devices. A Device didn't necessarily need Hardware and Hardware didn't need to be on a Device. This made it simple as a technician to swap out phones due to faulty equipment or an equipment upgrade. The new system lists unassigned equipment with other Device profiles, and it does not let you easily swap a Devices physical equipment with Hardware either already on the account or a new piece of Hardware. As it stands now, if a customer wanted a phone swapped out, GoToAdmin forces me to remove the Device from the User, then add the new equipment in as a Device with the User assigned to it. I would then have to go in and put all of the speed dial buttons back on the new device manually. Before, I would go to the Device profile settings, click on the Hardware header tab, then change to the new equipment from the drop-down menu, and if it was completely new equipment, there was an Add New Hardware option. All other Device settings would be saved. Unless I am misunderstanding something, that is no longer the case. Having unassigned hardware mixed in with Devices also creates some unnecessary confusion regarding how many Devices are being charged.1.7KViews0likes2Comments
