Is there a 9-digit webinar ID for a recorded webinar?

I have pre-registered all attendees for my virtual conference for all live GoToWebinar sessions using Zapier. When it is time for the session, I send them to https://global.gotowebinar.com/join/######### (<- insert 9 digit webinar ID here). They add their email address and are immediately admitted to the webinar. It works like a charm.

Now I have taken recordings and uploaded them as separate On-Demand webinars. I can still preregister people like before, but the only webinar ID I can find is now 18 digits. The URL above does not accept the 18 digit ID. Is there a 9 digit ID for recorded webinars? If so, where do I find it?

Right, that's not going to work the same way.  What you were using previously with live webinars is basically legacy behavior that may change in the future.  Using that url for attendees to join isn't something we currently document.

We typically expect registrants to click their unique join link by themselves once they are confirmed.  Beyond the registration APIs here: https://developer.goto.com/GoToWebinarV2/#operation/createRegistrant , I'm not sure there is a more automatic way to join attendees into a recorded session.

mcoleyase  I'm afraid recorded webinars do not currently have a webinar ID, just the longer webinar key.  One key difference for recorded webinars is the join link varies slightly:  https://global.gotowebinar.com/sjoin/

I will ask around if others are using Zapier in this way.

Thanks for the info. Is there a way to construct a URL that will quickly get a pre-registered attendee into a recorded webinar with just their email, as I am doing with the live webinars?  Perhaps using the "sjoin" path? I tried https://global.gotowebinar.com/sjoin/################## (using the actual recording webinar key), and it did not work.

      Thanks,

      Mike
