Showing text when blanking a screen

Whenever I blank the screens on a computer, people can be under the impression that the screens are broken. Is it possible to show some text on the screens while they are blanked? So I can type "Currently updating - Do not turn off" somewhere and the user will see it?

    Hey Ben,

    Although this is not currently possible, I believe it is a sound idea for later enhancement!
