I cannot blank the screen or disable keyboard/mouse control on the host computer (Windows 10)
I have installed LogMeIn on a Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit computer. I am able to connect to the computer remotely and do everything I need to, but I cannot blank the screen or disable keyboard/mouse control (even after successfully installing the DPMS updates). The computer has two user accounts. Not sure if this has anything to do with it. Any suggestions?Ben145 years agoNew Contributor898Views0likes0CommentsMapping a drive on a Mac over Hamachi
Hello, I have got a hub and spoke setup with the hub being Server 2016 and the spokes being a mix of Apple Mac and Windows Desktops. On the Windows desktops I have Hamchi configured and have a map drive setup to a share on the Hub - this works fine even after reboots. But on the Mac I am having trouble - I can map the drive and make it persistant by adding the folder to the login items, saving login details to keychain but this it intermitant when restarting the Mac. Sometimes it will reconnect fine (albeit slowly) and sometime it will come up saying server not found. Has anyone found a solid way of mapping a folder on a Mac that reconnects everytime the mac is rebooted? Hello. First of all i'm sorry. It's might not the right topic but I couldn't find the right one. We(my company) want to start a kind of home office programe for the employes and it seems the only working solution is logmein. First we want to try it with 4 person. The 4 person have to be able access to their own computers (4 host-4 user). It wasnt clear that if we buy the Power User pack means that 5 individually user can access to their 5 host computer at the same time? Is this Power User plan connected to 1 logmein ID or 5 different? Is there an administrator for the workgroup? Is the account fixed to machines or can be a kind of floating licece. Thank you.SolvedPeterA5 years agoVisitor1.7KViews0likes1CommentStrange problem - Laptop, lid closed, Firefox window is blank
LMI Pro. Freshly installed on new company laptop (ThinkPad). I have the display / power settings set so that closing the lid does nothing. Not connected to a docking station. When I close the lid, most things work exactly as they do with the lid open, but Firefox displays as a blank (white) window. If I click where button/links are, the page responds (but still blank). Things like the menu buttons, I found the View button and the menu displays just fine. I selected to have Bookmarks as a Sidebar. Everything is still blank. Find the View button again, and Bookmarks is now checked in Sidebar (as it should be). I can close Firefox by clicking where the Close button should be. This does not happen when I use Internet Explorer (or Edge), or Chrome, and I can also open other programs (Windows Explorer, settings, Word, etc.). The reason that I said "most things work exactly" as with the lid open is that there is a slight difference in the display when the lid is closed. For one thing, when the lid is closed, and I click the Windows (start) icon, name tags for the Power, Settings, Pictures, Documents show up as I move the mouse over them, and they those tags get stuck in the display. And, the programs (not pinned) have tiny icons when the lid is closed, and normal sized icons when the lid is open. Also, if I go to Settings and choose an option that requires the window to scroll - it won't. The scroll bar appears, and you can move the scroll bar, but the window itself does not change. I don't have much software install on this yet, so I can't tell if there are other differences. I saw some other thread that talked about the display accelarator - did that, no change. The laptop was defaulted to a zoom of 125% scalling (recommended), I changed it to 100% - no change. I wonder if it has something to do with the laptop thinking it is docked when the lid closes? But I can't find settings in Windows for this. I want to be able to close this up and use exclusively by remote, and not be distracted by the monitor. I guess for now I'll just set the display brightness all the down.tjoebgen5 years agoActive Contributor955Views0likes0CommentsPrevent Obsolete clients from connecting

Fixing LogMeIn for MacOS Catalina
It wasn't clear to me that LogMeIn had a 64bit client so that I could upgrade my MacOS to the new Catalina. I tried to check for updates and it said I was up to date, however checking the bitwise of my LogMeIn app always showed that it was indeed still 32bit. What I discovered was that I had to completly uninstall and remove all of LogMeIn by following these instructions and then re-installing from my weblogin. Hi I have a pretty unstable internet connection which sometimes causes my Windows Remote Desktop Connection app to first try 20 times to reconnect (this sometimes works). However, most times it can't reestablish connectivity to my remote computer and simply stops trying and ends the connection. My problem is that Hamachi then indicates my remote computer as "grey" instead of "green". In these cases I usually call up a colleague and he physically goes to my PC in my office to start up Hamachi. Since I don't want to harass my colleague each time this happens, I am eager to know if there a setting or other way to tell Hamachi to leave the status on "green" even after connectivity problems? Have just built a new workstation which I intended to run headless and use via LogMeIn only. It happens to use an AMD based graphics card. The computer was set up fine with directly connected keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Unplugged all peripherals, logged in from another computer, and got to a black screen. Nothing I did like moving the mouse or sending CTRL-ALT-DEL or changing the resolution yielded an image. The spare monitor I have on hand is a 1600x900 monitor. I plugged this in and then remotely connected again. I can then connect properly, except my remote resolution maxes out at 1600x900 - both Screen Matching and manually selecting 1920x1080 (the resolution of the computer I'm sitting at) do not work with the latter being completely unavailable anyway. Somewhat anecdotally, the only other computer I've worked with with LogMeIn and an AMD Graphics card can also not remotely set a standard, full HD resolution. That one can set anything like 1600x900, 1600x1200, or 1024x768, but not 1920x1080, and THAT computer IS plugged into a 1920x1080 monitor. So, I've got two AMD based computers which cannot set a standard full HD remote connection resolution for two different reasons, and I can't operate them headless because I get nothing but a black screen. I'd rather not have to waste a monitor plugging it into a remotely accessed machine, and I'd rather not be stuck at the 1600x900 of the only spare display I have. Are there any solutions for any of this?mattmutch6 years agoActive Contributor5.6KViews0likes7CommentsCan't sync folders and files
