Allow panelists to vote in the polls

I'm looking to use our GotoWebinar account to conduct an upcoming meeting that will require voting on topics for which I was going to use the poll feature. For all meeting attendees to be able to speak, I was planning on making them all panelists (12 people). Can panelists vote in the polls?

It would be really helpful if Organizers and Panelists could respond to polling questions. We use polling questions to award CPE to attendees, and sometimes a presenter might need to get CPE for the part of the presentation that they are not presenting on.

Now that we can have up to 25 webcams on at the same time, it would be nice if those panelists could also participate in the Polls.

Many of our webinars have multiple presenters who are also part of the audience when they are not presenting.  It would be nice to have these Panelists participate in the Polls.

  • It would be very helpful to have the option to include panelists in polls and surveys.

... or be able to demote the panelist to "regular attendee" so they can participate in polls and surveys.

Just to be clear, in GTW you can unmute the microphones of all 12 attendees without making them panelists.  Thus your 12 attendees and the presenter can all talk and hear each other at the same time, and all of the attendees can vote in the polls.

Unfortunately attendees cannot share their webcams, they would need to be panelists to be able to do that. Also only 6 webcams can be shared at a time, so all 12 will not be able to be on webcam together. Voting is limited to attendees only as organizer and panelists are considered Staff and typically only presenting content to the attendees.

Another option would be to just use GoToMeeting and instead of a poll, share a link with everyone to a SurveyMonkey page via the Chat feature.

  • Two followup questions, (1) can those attendees be on camera and (2) can the organizer vote?

Only 25 attendees can be unmuted at one time?  The linked resource does not mention that limitation.  Why would there be a mute/unmute ALL options if only 25 will be unumted?  Is it random or the first 25?  Thanks!

Webinar Studio  That used to be the case, but now you should be able to 'soft-unmute' up to 500 Attendees if necessary.  They still have ultimate control of whether or not they decide to unmute their own lines.
