Frequently, during the meeting we would like to share files to respective team member. It would be nice if Gotomeeting has this feature. Our current workaround is to make someone presenter just to show one file and take control back but it is not the right way,

That is not what I want. I want to be able (like WebEX) to cut some text from a file on my desktop and then paste it into a screen session (like putty) or shell (vi), so that I can quickly pass information, commands to the client I am serving. The Chat feature does not do me any good, in that sense and it is cumbersome. Is there going to be a fix/enhancement, that will allow this. I have to decide which application to keep(goTomeeting or webex). I like gotomeeting, but the lack of this functionality makes it difficult. - Sorry, I understand that is not what you are asking for, just wanted to be clear about what is available currently. I'm not aware of plans to add this ability currently so I am going to change this topic to an Idea.
If you wouldn't mind could you post more details about your use case, and perhaps why using keyboard and mouse control to enter text directly isn't a good solution for you?

Is there a way to do a file transfer from the presenters computer to one of the attendees computers? I was told this is possible but I can't see that option when signed in. Hi,
Currently we do not have a built in file sharing feature, however you can work around this by uploading the file to a service like http://www.sharefile.com/ and then pasting a link to the file in the Chat.- Thanks Glenn,
I don't think anybody wants to pay $100 per month just for this capability. - There are other free services out there that provide a similar service for small files.

- We're also looking for to be able to attach slides to the webinar link so that participants can download them prior to the session. Are there any solutions for this?
- We are sometimes on GTM calls doing support and would like to have an attendee be able to send a screenshot of an error to the moderator/presenter, or just send a file, rather than showing it to everyone with the hassle of passing control and having them figure out how to show their screen. It would be much faster if you could just have a Send File button in the Chat control area, much like iMessage (Apple) and other IM clients have.
- Glen, the "free" services are not at all secure and would not be allowed (by network restriction) in many companies.
Many other meeting tools offer this functionality (TeamViewer for one), why not yours? - Hi Kevin, I agree, if you need enterprise level file sharing I would recommend our Sharefile.com service. In regards to GoToMeeting, file sharing is on the road map and will be added once other work with a higher priority is completed. In TeamViewer's case they were a remote support tool first, so file and file sharing is a core tool for remote support.
GoToMeeting already allows you to share keyboard and mouse control with your attendees so that you can collaborate directly in an application or file during your meeting.
