Connecting to destination PC

Hello Everyone,

We are using GoToMyPC to connect to remote computers. Sometimes it works fine, but other times the source computer keeps retrying and fails to connect. The only way to resolve this issue is by completely rebooting the computer. Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Hi DS10. welcome to the community.

Can you please provide some more details?

    • Is this happening only to you or are other members of your account experiencing this as well?
    • Are you rebooting the computer that you are trying to connect to (the host), or the computer you are connecting from (the client)?
    • What operating systems are being used?

  • Hello,

The disconnection occurring when you open another window may be due to several reasons:

    1. System resources : when multiple windows are opened, it can increase the usage of system resources (CPU, RAM). If the computer or mobile device is overloaded, it may affect the connection to the remote access software.
    2. Priority of GoTo : some operating systems assign a lower priority to background applications. If GoTo temporarily loses priority when you switch to another window, it could result in a disconnection.
    3. Quality of the Internet connection : if opening another window requires increased bandwidth usage, it may lead to instability in the connection of the software.

I hope these insights help you find a solution to your connection issues.
