Video problem when connecting to a remote machine with HDR turned on

When I connect to a machine with HDR turned on the video corrupts every time I move the mouse or press a key.  The best way I can desribe it is the screen blurs, flashes and reminds me of 8-bit graphics.  If I move the mouse the screen flashes and quickly alternates between a clean image and a hot mess.  It is unusable.  I need to talk the user through disabling HDR then I need to reconnect once it's off.

Staying connected while they turn it off does not clear it up.  I have to disconnect, have them turn it off, then reconnect.

Has anyone else seen this?  Is there a work around?

Hi WAG-244, welcome to the community.

I just ran a test session with HDR enabled (I typically have it disabled), and while the screen looks more muted (like a blue light filter is on), I did not see any flashes or image distortion like you have experienced. I connected from a Mac Book Pro with a 1080 screen to my PC:

    • Windows 11
    • Nvidia 1080 Ti video card HDR enabled
    • 2560 x 1440 Resolution @ 144hz

Where you using the desktop console or running the session in your browser? Are you able to provide more details about your clients computers?
