Hi , Is there a possibility to add Google calendar as an option, in the webinar confirmation email. There is only outlook and iCal. I know there is a way to import the ics file, but can we add google calendar automatically in the email ? We recorded a webinar which we rebroadcast as a recorded webcast. The recording, disappointingly, also captured our computer cursor running across the screen. While it did not record the organizer dashboard, it recorded my cursor locations where I was managing the webinar (mute, show camera etc). This resulted in a very distracting little arrow moving around our entire presentation. How do we ensure this does not happen in future recording sessions? I was also disappointed that it showed the controls to forward the power point slides, which was also a location where our cursor was distracting--it captured everytime we moved the cursor to forward a slide. Good Morning, I am hosting a Symposium on GoToWebinar and one of my panelist's Firewall blocks GoToWebinar. He works for a very large technology company and said it will takes weeks for an approval to come through. I want them to participate in our symposium. During/after my last two webinars, many registrants have said that when they attempt to join the webinar, Malwarebytes gives them this warning about launch.gotowebinar.com: "Malwarebytes Browser Guard blocked this page because it may contain malicious activity. We are hosting an upcoming webinar series and set it up as a virtual event in GoTo Webinar. I thoroughly read through the FAQ for virtual events to best understand how it was different from a regular webinar. However, just discovered that source tracking and integration with HubSpot do not seem to work for Virtual Events. I think these are very important elements and should be added to the limitations section on the FAQ. If we had known ahead of time that these features were not available, we would have set our webinar series up differently. Any insights into if/when these features will become available for Virtual Events? Has anyone else run into hiccups when hosting a virtual event? It is necessary for my presenter to respond on the results but its not working, they can´t see the results. I've just been made aware of an error that is being presented when trying to add an event to a Google Calendar. We've tested on three separate computers and registrants with the same result each time. Any wisdom would be appreciated. Here is the error message: "429. Plan Exceeded. The documentation for how to get Authenticated and then get the account key is not accurate to what actually happens, and the process itself is overly complex. Also the descriptions for getting authenticated without using Postman and using Postman is inconsistent. The result is that it takes a great deal of time and multiple support calls to get to a point where useful API calls can be made - several weeks have elapsed. Hi, we tried it with backgrounds using ChromaCam and it works well only for organizer (when I'm logged in GoTo). Our presenters (panelists) have only Lite version of ChromaCam - there is always watermark and no option for custom bacground (uploading own files). How do you suggest to solve this, any ideas? We present a series of webinars throughout the year and each webinar set up can have several dates that it's being offered. We don't continue to create new webinars, we just add more dates to an existing webinar that is set up. We have not been sending the follow up emails to registrants that did not attend, only to those that attended. It's been that way for years. Last week we decided to add in the follow up email for those that do not attend the webinars. The goal was that it would go out for any webinars presented moving forward. But once we added that follow up email, the emails were then retro and went out to registrants that didn't attend webinars in the past. There were over 62 different emails that went out - some as far back as 2020! We had to stop editing the webinars to stop the emails from going out. I get that we're using the same webinar (not copying, just adding more dates) but any changes made should not be retro whatsoever. I found this to be a big flaw in the product. I'm looking to see which 'older' webinars are still being viewed (or at least registered for) -- I know the data's available as I can see it by downloading an individual report from the video itself in the video library (example below of a webinar published in 2021 However, from the Analytics section I can only get reports on the data for webinars published in the last 365 days -- not ALL webinars viewed / registered for in the last 365 days. Seeing as the data exists, is there a way to get this data in one report, so I can quickly see which webinars people are still watching? It'll be a painstaking process to go through every single webinar to download, open and analyse the registration figures... Virtual Event (PANELIST and PRACTICE SESSIONS?)
We are looking forward to using Virtual Events for the first time and appreciate attendee's having only one link rather than multiple to juggle. As we are getting familiar with GoToEvent there is one question and one suggestion I would like to provide, so far: Question: We use the practice feature quite a bit with GoToWebinar but that option does not seem to be available with Virtual Events. If we start the session on some other day than when it is scheduled to occur for the practice will it still be available on the actual date of the live event? Suggestion:When Panelists are added they receive an email with the join link for the session they are attached to present. It would be a HUGE help to be provided access to their panelist links in Virtual Events as we are with the Organizer and Panelist links in GoToWebinar. I anticipate having to delete panelists from workshops just to re-add them should they delete their email that has the link to the workshop. That will be a logistical nightmare on the day of the event. I'd like to use Recorded Webinars, but our users on iPhone and iPad see the bottom popup menu activating and deactivating throughout the duration of the webinar. It occurs when using either the most current Safari or the most current Chrome. It is not caused by accidental user activation since it occurs when the device is untouched on a desk. I have not seen this on OSX , Windows, or Android in any browser. The effect sometimes takes several minutes to begin, but once it does it continues throughout. The dark, semi-transparent playback menu will, unprovoked, pop up and hold for 3 seconds (while the video continues to play behind it), then drop and fade. The video will continue to play for a length of time between 20 seconds (00:20.00) and one minute and 30 seconds (01:30.00) then the menu will pop up again for 3 seconds. This occurs whether full playback controls are provided to the user or not. When playback controls are not provided, the menu displays only the audio control and, depending on the platform, the fullscreen arrows. The menu pops up whether the webinar is playing fullscreen or windowed. It then holds for 3 seconds and drops down / fades out. Rinse. Repeat. I made these timings with a stopwatch today, so they're not perfect. But I did do enough samples to understand that the menu was up consistently for 3 seconds and down for various amounts. I am having problems uploading a list of bulk registrants. I used the template from GoToWebinar, saved the file as a .csv and have tried uploading it 3 times. Each time it appears to go through, but then I receive an email message telling me there was a problem with the bulk registration. My company's email is tomorrow and I need to have these 1,000+ names added. The file is only 65 kb so I don't think it's too big. Hi. For one of our recent webinars, it appears that attendees did not receive the link to their attendance certificates. We looked at the Multi-Attendee report for this and a few other webinars, and the webinar in question had a "No" in the "Certificate Sent in Follow-up Email?" column for all attendees. However, this webinar had the same settings as all of our others ("Send follow-up email 1 hour after event ends", and "Certificate included with follow-up email"). Dear Community! I attend webinars hosted through GoToWebinar. The organizer uses a “live” version of GoTo that does not need to be installed on my computer. I am working on the Windows machine Wintron 10.1 with Windows 8.1 × 32 bit (a higher version can´t be installed on this machine, no driver availlable) and the latest Firefox 32 bit version. Although the Internet Explorer 11 is already disabled in the Control Panel on this computer, a mshtml.dl error message appears when launching GoToWebinar. This message can only be deactivated after several clicks away. That causes the first 2 to 3 minutes of the webinar to be lost. According to Microsoft, this error is caused by GoToWebinar that tries to host web browser controls from non-existent Internet Explorer. Since no GoToWebinar application is installed on my machine, I cannot prevent these attempts either with Windows Firewall or my antimalware software. I should be glad if your experts could give me a tip how to remove this very annoying problem. By the way: I am attending on this machine some Webinars using live ZOOM and TEAMS Software Version without any difficulties, no error occurs. In the new GoTo Webinar app, some attendees are "Active attendees" and "Listen-only attendees". We set it that all would be listen-only. Is there a difference? Should we be concerned about them having extra permissions we don't want them to have? Also, some seem to have their mic on but we can't hear them (which is fine). It seems impossible these days to actually contact someone in the support team. In the past I was able to call, join a queue and then get help. These days I have to put in a support ticket and ait to be called back. I then get an email saying we tried to call but couln't get you so we have closed the ticket. Is there a way to re-send an individual survey URL? We have attendees complete a survey to verify attendance at a webinar (including the "secret word" that they have to know) in compliance with state requirements for continuing education credit. There is always a certain percentage of attendees who resond that they've never received the survey link (URL). Since the links are individualized (like they are to join a webinar), if I send the same link to 5 people, each person's response overwrites whatever was there - so I end up with just one response (the last person to respond) instead of 5 responses. However, I haven't found a way to resend a "Survey URL" like I see to resend the "Join URL". My solution has been to send those attendees a Word version of the survey that they complete and send back, and then I manually add the information to the generated survey report. Hi Everybody I have a problem with payable on-demand webinars. We have published several webinars that expired in December. The problem is that we couldn't set them up without an expiration date and later we did not get notified by the system that the webinars are about to expire. They just stopped working. Is there a way to reactivate them, so I don't need to make new copies of the webinars? I would need to change all the links on the web pages if I make copies of the webinars. It's come to our attention that the gotowebinar platform controls are not coded with accessible function descriptions. This means that participants with visual impairments are being discriminated against because features that are available to the general public cannot be accessed by participants who use screen reader software due to the lack of proper labeling of each feature/control.
