How to stop GoToMeeting Running in the background? (Windows 10)
I have specified in the GoToMeeting application Start Up setting to be "Manually" and I have also disabled Automatic Updates (unchecked "Automatically install updates (recommended)". Yet when I start my computer and log in to Windows 10, view Task Manager and the Processes tab, it shows "GoToMeeting (32 bit)" is a running Process and consuming Memory. There is nothing shown in the Start-up list of Task Manager. I also get the occasisional prompt from my Firewall showing that GoToMeeting /LogMeIn is trying to connect to the internet. This is dispite not using the programme at the time. How can I disable GoToMeeting from running? I only want to load GoToMeeting when I intend to use it, rather than have it run all of the time. Hi everyone! We are currently using GoToMeeting Business in our environment. We frequently host meetings where the presenter needs to play a video which can be seen by the meeting attendees. The vast majority of these videos are from Youtube, although on occasion the presenter may play a .mp4 video file. The issue we run into here is while the video and audio play normally on the presenter's device, the attendees report poor video and audio quality (the video is choppy and the audio is delayed). Is there a way in G2M for the presenter to play a video without the attendees experiencing poor audio/video quality? I think what we are looking for is an embedded video player but I can't seem to find this option in the G2M desktop app for Mac. Here's a new thing we discovered. A major update was made to the interface athttps://app.goto.com/meetingsrecently. More info: Our organization prefers organizers to often use a single sign on launcher (Okta) to have folks go to that website and launch meetings or rooms from there as opposed to the app or using links in calendar invites. Some folks do use calendar invites, but launching fromhttps://app.goto.com/meetingsis very common. We are using the classic version of desktop app as the new app is too resource intensive and has issues with not allowing you to break out windows (cameras, etc..) that we prefer in older version. In the past when launching a meeting from the website interface it would launch the desktop app. Now it opens a separate browser window with a preview of camera. If you continue it launches the "web" version of GTM. You must click "Switch to the Desktop App" at the bottom of the separate browser window to launch the app. These updates/changes have already caused major confusion and use difficulties in our office today. Why is it preferred to launch the "web version" in this instance? Wouldn't launching the desktop app make more sense as the default?SolvedTC59982 years agoActive Contributor911Views0likes1Commentadding a link to my invite

I am attempting to get the GoTo add-in onto the desktop versions of Outlook 2016, this is both a company issue but I cannot even get it working on my own machine. The OS is Windows 10 Enterprise. It is all up to date as of Jan 10, 2022. If I go to my Outlook, and go to the 'Add-Ins' section, I click Store and search for "GoTo", it simply does not show up. It does not appear in any search results. I have also installed it on our Microsoft 365 Admin center, since I have had multiple people asking for it, and the normal exe file we used to use for user's to add it manually seems to have stopped working. Here is how it looks in Microsoft 265, it shows 'assign users', everyone, fixed. But nobody is able to see it. One issue I noticed here is that, our usernames and email addresses are not the same. So my email for example would be lastname-firstname@domain,but the username is just firstname. So if I go here and say "Specific Users" instead of Everyone, I don't see what SHOULD be our email addresses, instead I see usernames followed by the domains. So I don't know if that's a problem as well. And as a third option for an attempted install, I go to Outlook, Info, Manage Add-Ins. That takes me to the options for my Outlook online. I see the following. If I click the plus, and then Add from the Office Store, I can see GoTo for Outlook. I click 'get it Now', give permission, hit continue. It says "Taking you to Microsoft 365 to complete this process", and takes me back to my second image, no change is made. So no matter what it seems I do, I cannot get the add-in to appear. We used to just download an exe, run it, and the add-in would appear, so honestly the fact they're phasing that out is very frustrating, especially since I can't even seem to find that file anymore. Any direct link to the add-in exe would be appreciated as a stop gap for users who need the integration.Solvedgraham_farr3 years agoNew Contributor5.6KViews0likes18CommentsGoToMeeting ScreenShare in Chrome in MacOS

We have used GTM for over almost 20 years. When the new client came out a few months ago we began having issues. I have been hosting meetings for my clients for about 9 months and decided to try theGoToMeeting HubVirtual Background. Aside from the relatively robust hardware requirements (which I've met), I'm wondering if anyone has had Internet bandwidth issues using this feature. It is currently showing as in Beta-testing, and I had 200 Mbps down/20 Mbps upload broadband, and recently I'd had several meetings where the video/audio began breaking up. The meeting had about a dozen participants, sharing a screen and using cloud recording. I had to switch from the Chromacam virtual camera back to my physical webcam to restore continuity of the meeting I was hosting. It appears that the upstream bandwidth required to send video up to (Chromacam hosting) and back down is impairing the basic meeting functionality.
