Unfortunately, the app is not able to display an external phone number as a contact instead of a number. Unfortunately the application is not yet able to identify the incoming phone number, only the internal one (the number within the PBX network). Selling Phone Cloud that is unable to display a contact instead of a number? I have few words to show my incomprehension. My first mobile phone could do that, I think yours too. and nobody wants that? I do not believe that. Sales staff in Germany have not been available for 1 week. Situation: The EXP50 displays "Welcome Loading...Please Wait" and never does anything. I did a Google search and found that it is a firmware issue. I uploaded firmware 96.86.254.850, and the EXP50 worked briefly before the phone reverted back to the previous firmware, which I assume is a GoTo Connect setting. I did submit a case on this exact issue, but there are no other case notes on what support did to fix it, and it is now impacting other users with the same exact setup. Hello, We are very new to GoTo Connect. We've discovered a couple of oddities and I am wondering if there are work arounds. I've looked through the admin portal and combed the help sections online, even reached to our Onboarding contact, but I don't see a fix, explanation or workaround. Maybe I just missed it. Using the Teams plug-in, the status will be available (green) even though the user has closed Teams, quit both the Teams and GoTo for Teams plugin app within the Windows 10 System Tray. Shouldn't it show the status as offline? A user chose an Away status so she could go to lunch, but calls rang through. Seems like Away status would go straight to voicemail. I gave Kudos to one of the other discussions/suggestions about overriding the "Calendar Event" status. We rely heavily on the phone statuses to know who is online and who is not. Hello, We currently use GoTo Connect Contact Center for our call center and have been receiving hundreds of robo-calls/spam calls each month from different phone numbers each time they call. Most of our call center staff have reported that these calls are silent each time they answer the call, when they attempt a call back (per our policy) they get a person on the other line who has no idea that their number was used to call us. Due to the nature of our center, we cannot have 'auto-attendants' setup and it would be painstaking to add call filters for each number due to the types of calls we receive (sometimes life-threatening emergencies) that require immediate contact with the person calling into our center. We've reported the issue to the Federal Trade Commission and listed all of our numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry but we've had no success so far. Is anyone else running into this issue? With the new "Calendar Event" status it changes me to red and says "Calendar Event" as my status whenever I have something on my calendar. This is a real problem because: 1) I have reminders on my calendar, and I am not busy during that exact time, but it shows that I am. 2) If my meeting is done early, it will still show this way until the scheduled time on my calendar is over. 3) Sometimes I will have an all-day event just to let others know I am working remote, and it now changes my status to "Calendar Event" all day. 4) I have continuing education webinars I sit in on so they are on my calendar so that I remember to sign into them but I am still available if an important call comes in. Right now, there is no way to show that I can take that call. Can we create a way to opt out of this so that these issues don't cause more headache for our receptionist who is trying to figure out if we can take a call or not? Our call center is complaining that the 'new' GoTo app has negatively impacted their work flow. When a user is in another application, such as email or clinical software typing notes, an incoming call will force GoTo to be the active screen, therefore causing the active window to change. The user then has to switch back to the window they were in to finish recording notes or changing information in a patients record. This happens frequently and all of our users are extremely frustrated with this 'new and improved' product. So much so, that we are looking at alternative solutions to the GoTo software. What is GoTo doing to prevent their software from changing the active window and prevent this from happening. The GoTo features are used extensively in an information system where phone number are available. When the phone number is hoovered over the option to "Call" or "SMS" appears with the number. When "Call" is selected it sends directly to the phone and the call is made. When "SMS" is selected it opens a new GoTo tab with the number where a text message can be sent. HOWEVER now when the SMS feature is selected, the number no longer appears in the tab. For SMS now, you have to type in the number manually. We have several Conference Bridges setup and a couple are used for weekly conference call meetings. There are usually 4-5 people on a call, most of which call in from a phone VoIP phone on your system or the GoTo app. On many of these weekly calls at least one person winds up in a Ghost Room and thinks they are waiting for others to join, but nobody shows up. They test others who tell them they are on the call waiting, so the Ghost Room caller hangs up and calls again. On the 2nd or 3rd attempt, they succeed in joining the correct Conference Bridge. This behavior has been going on for a long time. I called support about it many months ago and was told they had never heard of such a thing. I called again today because 2 of the 4 people wound up in on one Bridge and 2 wound up on another Bridge. After texting everyone, two of us hung up and called back in again. One made it on the first try and the 2nd made it on the 3rd try, so we could hold our conference call. I called support after the call and they looked at logs and saw that several people called into the Bridge more than once, but didn't see any issues. Again, I was told this is not something people have reported as an issue. It would be great when you create a schedule that you could color code the schedule with day mode, night mode, AND LUNCH mode with out having to make a second schedule. That would mean the schedule tab would need to have a 4th option for lunch. I would also like to see a node that can be drawn to "holiday schedule" node in the dial plan. The holiday tab could be set up how it is not with admins being able to set the dates and times of the holiday but then they would also be able to add a sound clip to each of the holidays that are scheduled. I have 5 phone numbers with Jive / Go To Connect. I have SMS enabled on 3 of them, and have for close to a decade. I recently purchased a new phone number for a new company I'm launching and tried to turn on SMS so that I could get a confirmation code from google to setup a new Gmail account. Both themy.jive.com/pbx/[username]/dashboard and the newadmin.goto.com dashboardinsist that I need to register for a campaign in order to get text messages. Under the tab for "sms-campaign" a message reads... If your organization plans to send SMS messages, wireless industry regulations require that you register your brand and at least one campaign with The Campaign Registry. Registering your "brand" is about establishing yourself as a valid legal entity. Registering a "campaign" is about establishing in advance what kinds of messages you'll send. These requirements represent an effort by the wireless industry to protect their customers from unwanted messages. GoTo's registration tool is designed to make the registration process as simple as possible. All fees shown represent a direct pass-through by GoTo without any markup. Here is a breakdown of the costs involved to be fully compliant with industry regulations. The old softphone experience on a desktop was better. When on the phone and viewing other windows a smaller window and control panel appeared in the upper right corner of the screen so that you could still view the call and press buttons as needed for automated answering systems or whatever. Even to hang up the call is difficult when you have to go find the app and select it before you can hang up. Having a GoTo window always at the front of the desktop when on a call is extremely helpful when you have to reference information from your computer during the call and still maintain control of the phone to press the buttons, hang up or otherwise. We have multiple users with GoTo softphones using the goto connect app and we are using polycom voyager 4320 wireless headsets. Some of the users (not all!) are not able to use the headset call button to answer or hang up on phone calls. They will hear "answering call" and then nothing happens. I had the same issue with mine, and I resolved my own issue by closing PolyLens app. This did not resolve the issue for other users. Goto support suggested calling Polycom, but I don't see how that is the issue of the headset just yet... anyone else have suggestions? Hello! So this morning All my Contact Center users got reset and when that occurred some lost their wrap up timer pop up. This has occurred before and we would change pop up and reset cookies.. but what actually fixed it was tuning OFF the "new softphone" in the settings. Well, I seem to have that option but the user this is effecting doesn't seem to have that toggle at all? Hello! I have some users who was pushed a corrupted version of GoTo Connect that and they tried to update it since it prompted them to do so. The update failed as it said the user didn't have permission to edit the system folder. Once the user closes the error message, the GoTo icon disappears and is replaced by a blank page icon. If you click on that icon, it gives the Windows error saying the shortcut is broken and asks to delete it. If you click yes, it throughs the same error saying the user doesnt have permission to edit the system folder (does this for admin as well). I tried reinstalling the application but when it launches, it auto pulls the user creds and half loads. It loads the top bar of GoTo like settings and user settings but nothing else and the GoTo logo just pulses like its loading. I have tried uninstalling a GoTo with a 3rd party uninstaller and using the MSI instead of the EXE but nothing seems to work. It's like the corrupt version of GoTo is still installed somewhere. We tried to issue a uninstall command from Intune but no luck. We have seen that if a user hasn't updated the app, Intune was able uninstall it and I was able to reinstall the correct version with no issues and no stuck shortcut. With GoTo Connect, there is an audible audio cue when I click the end call button, but when a customer ends the call or disconnects the call, it does not play any sound. I would think it would be more important to have the sound play when the customer ends or disconnects prematurely versus only having it make a sound for when I am ending a call. Our SMS Compliance keeps getting rejected. The status comes back "Update required", and hovering over the message says: "Your website doesn't have a compliant privacy policy. Update your website before resubmit your campaign." We have triple checked our website and we believe we are compliant. And we have resubmitted this twice now. We are a veterinary practice and have Call Center with Call Queues set up, and our agents consist of our receptionist(s) sitting at our reception desk. When the receptionists are on-duty, we don't want calls going anywhere else in the office unless the receptionist transfers calls. The Queues are set up to go to voicemail if the caller "escapes" with the * key. This works exactly as we want. However, there are times when they are both unavailable for a portion of the day (breaks and lunches, for example). During that time, we want callers to flow through the call queue, but with if no agents are logged in, we want the calls to ring to a Ring Group instead of directly to voicemail. The Ring Group are physical phones in our treatment area, where medical staff know they are covering lunches and will answer the phones. The Call Queues do have an option to 'reject' callers from the call queue if no agent is logged in, but that just routes them down the 'escape' path, which goes to voicemail. Does anyone know of any way to set up a dial plan to do what we need? i.e. when agents are logged in, callers sit in queue or escape to voicemail, but if no agents logged in, bypasses call queue and goes to a Ring Group. Alternate would be if there was a way for a receptionist, who is a supervisor but not an admin, to switch dial plans if they are leaving on break. From what I've seen, someone would need to login as an admin to switch dial plans, but even that's not straightforward. And often someone with the admin credentials just isn't there or available to switch the call plan. Some thoughts I had, but I can't figure out if any of this is possible: A node in the dial plan that conditionally routes calls depending on whether agents are logged in or not. I don't see any nodes that can do this. A * code, perhaps even with a password (although not necessary) that would switch dial plans to an alternate "lunch dial plan". Can't find anything about this being possible. A * code to switch schedules, which would then be tied to the "lunch dial plan", and then another * code to switch back. An API call that would switch dial plans - I could set up an applet on our intranet site, that when triggered manually by receptionist, would trigger a webhook with an API payload to switch dial plan. Can't find reference to this in API guide. Lastly, could the receptionist stay logged in, but forward their phone to a dial group? If this worked, problem would be that since the agent phone is forwarding calls as they happen, the ring group could get bombarded with calls. But that's better than nothing. I am only just dipping my toes into the API documentation and playing around to see what automations we may incorporate into our workflow. I'd like to save employees time with reminder text messages. In my initial review of the docs I see that I can send sms messages. Perfect. I want to record the messages being sent and any responses we may receive. I was looking over the Messaging Webhook Notificationssection to set up the webhook for events and the bodies of those messages. Here, theSuper Admin Authorization Flowindicates that I, as the Super Admin must create a subscription and be the owner of the channel. So in MessagingCreate a subscription for a given phone number, I must first create the channel, in order to provide the channel iD. In ChannelsCreate a notification channel, using cURL and the examples provided, I went to set up my first channel using the following data successfully. { "channelType": "Webhook", "channelNickname": "TEST", "webhookChannelData": { "webhook": { "url": "https://mysite.com/sms-webhook" } }, "channelLifetime": 10800 } How do I create a nickname for the channel? I tried with and without"channelNickname": "TEST" and it still came back as the default "integrations." Elsewhere in the documentation it seems that this could be user-defined-- How? Even though I definted the channel type as Webhook, it came back as WebSockets.I didn't get anything back in the response regarding the webhookChannelData. No idea why that is.
