LMI Pro default logmein client
Running LMI Pro on a Mac. Whenever I login I'm asked to specify a client. I select the correct client and check the "always allow..." box but the choice is never saved... I don't know if this is a LMI issue or a Mac issue bu I can't find a setting in either that deals with this behavior. Windows 10, 20H2. I've got about 50 users who successfully use LogMeIn to work from home with no issues. Just this week, one user started experiencing a problem where when he logs into his computer, one of his two monitors is set to 640x480. He's usually able to go into the Windows display settings and change the second monitor back to 1920x1080. On at least one occasion, he was not able to change the resolution. The host application was a few versions out of date, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it along with any recent windows updates for 20H2, but this didn't help. Unfortunately I don't have any influence over his home setup, though the user tells me that he installed all pending Windows updates and restarted since this first happened. I sat at his desk in the office while he logged in from home and observed the monitor switch to 640x480 resolution as he connected. It seems like it's an issue on the host computer, but I'm not sure what to do about it. I turned off the display accelerator just to see if that had anything to do with it. I have just been given admin access to Logmein Central for our organisation in the absence of a colleague, I can see all the host (I think) computers and whether they are on or not etc, and I can see Networks & Deployments sections. I have a colleague who has been issued a new laptop, and needs to install Logmein so he can access a host computer from the new laptop - where is it that I need to go within Central to do this, do I need to be in Central to help generate the installation files he needs? I have been reading the guides but find them difficult to follow ... and they seem to be guiding me through setting up a new host, which in this case I don't think I need to do. Hello, all - I'm using my iPad and Magic Keyboard to login to my Windows computer remotely. Unfortunately, the "delete" key is a pretty commonly used tool in my workflow (among some others, like control or alt-clicking things). The Magic Keyboard doesn't have a "delete" key equivalent, and there's no way to send the equivalent commands for copy/paste either. Has anyone found a workaround? I know I can use the digital keyboard to send some commands and the popup toolbar to toggle CTRL/ALT when needed. It would be crazy helpful if I could just "pin" other keys to that toolbar. Account access denied
How are pro users expected to resolve issues when they have been prevented access due to the authenticator app not functioning? Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to talk to a human as I'm in a dire situation? I was denied access to me account on 03 July 2021. The incident happened as I attempted to use the authenticator app, which continually failed. I was able to raise an incident no.15629013 but the machine I used to raise that on then required verification and so was locked also. I have now contacted support via email several times and had only one response which was to confirm details of my account. I was initially happy with this but have since heard nothing. I am very stressed as I cannot access critical records required for work. I have lost credibility from my line manager and missed project delivery dates as I cannot access the server details I stored on secure notes. This is what I get for four years of PRO use. I cannot believe that LogMeIn can operate such a ludicrously compromising service for paid customers. This whole experience has convinced me that LogMeIn are not a credible enterprise and I will not be using them going forward. I have a LogMeIn Pro account for years. I just purchased the latest iPad and when I access my LogMeIn account and get taken to my office desktop, I an unable to enter my password on my desktop. Hi, I am registered as the master account holder for the companies LogMeIn account. As I will soon be leaving the company, I need to switch the master account to someone else. The issue is that the someone else is already registered with LogMeIn, so when I try and make the change via Settings >> Account Settings >> LogMeIn ID I get "This email address is already in use as a LogMeIn ID". Looks like remote support is not possible on Mac OS Big Sur. I can connect, but cannot see any windows, desktop icons, and browse the file system while connected remotely. Resetting privacy permissions and regranting did not resolve. Whit this information you are aware of who you are going to kick out. In the client version of Logmein it is not possible to see witch user in in session. Hi All, So my problem relates to the computer I am logging into with LogMeIn. We'll call this "Computer B" for reference. Currently I am using Computer B to display information and play music in my associate rest area. I am having a problem however, because whenever Iog into Computer B remotely from my home computer (Computer A), it allows me to set things up the way I like. When I close the connection between computers A & B, however, B will lock completely, so anything I have set up, immediately is halted by this process. - Billing history says I have "LogMeIn Central Base 25 yearly subscription". Logmein Control Panel says I have "Logmein Pro". Which do I believe? - I've traditionally used Logmein via IE, so yes, I'm old. With Chrome or Edge,I'm required to use "the LogMeIn Client application for full-featured remote access". Hi, Today I have been auto-updated to a version of LogMeIn Pro that now renders the application unusable. On reading the minimum system requirements it states OSX 10.12. I am maxed out on this machine at 10.11, so there is the reason. Is there any way of taking a backwards step to a legacy version? I'm able to connect to the remote computer, and see the desktop, but cannot click on anything, type, or do anything. When I'm at home on a desktop and log in to my work computer, the new password works. Whenever I log in to Logmein i get kicked out close to every 10 minutes and have to log back in. I looked at my time out time and it is set for 1 hour so I am not sure why there is an issue. My screen at times freezes and then lets me work again and then a few minutes later I am disconnected. Has anyone encountered this issue? On our Win 10 computer hosts, after it was updated with the latestLogMeIn version 4.1.0.14344, we have problems remotely via LogMeIn. It is also giving us error about the "trust relationship..." being broken or not there. Our current work-around solution for now is to disjoin the affected computers and rejoin back to our Domain. Sadly logmein doesn't recognise the pin number and the computer isn't giving us the option of choosing a password. Maybe on windows they are all compatible but I've tried brave and firefox on fedora 33 and 34 and this is not compatible. You see the image for sure, but to actually react with the environment like right click or enter a text you need help from the toolbar or from someone on the computer itself(in the case of right clicking. Hello. I need to configure Hamachi on Ipad. This morning I managed to configure it and VPN established ok. I check on dashboard and it shows in green (all is ok). After that I have tried to install several file explorer apps (even native file explorer in IOS) with negative results. VPN is working but impossible to do the same with files...not showing anyway. I tried to change ports (TCP/UDP, ipsec,...) Have you managed to get Hamachi to work on an Ipad? How did you get it? Hi, I don't know if it has been brought up already on this community forum but I've just hung up with support about this. So apparently the password protection layer added in logmein is account specific, which is here admin account. This is not a good way of thinking. This password protection layer is supposed to protect the host globally from outsiders that would have credentials to any accounts on the host and not this added protection layer. The simple demonstration of that would be, I'm connecting with the credentials of a user account on the host, it bypass the added protection layer, then from inside the user account, I can run a python script or anything like that to actually guess the admin password and that's it. Then I can actually do whatever I want through the user account with admin privileges. Hello. I have been using LogMeIn for over a year, no problems. Since the LogMeIn upgrade last week the app is now causing my Mac fan to run incessantly and the Activity Monitor indicates LogMeIn is using large amounts of energy. No other apps are running, I have tested it by quitting and reopening LogMeIn. The energy drops and the fan stops if I quit the program. When I connect to a remote Mac, I can login just fine to the machine. However whenever I close LogMeIn, it will immediately log out the OS user. I have reviewed and confirmed that none of these are set to log/start screen savers out at any point: Desktop & Screen Saver Sleep Settings Display Settings Power Savings Settings There are no hot corners set up Kiosk Software Settings (This is a Kiosk, consequently there are no auto updates for OSX) Details for the Remote Mac are: OSX El Capitan 10.11.16 Mini Late 2014 4GB Ram Intel HD Graphics 5000 Has anyone else had this issue? Hey all, We have about 50 PCs that I remotely connect to using LogMeIn and it almost always works great! However, I have one specific PC where I'll try to connect and I frequently (1/3 to 1/2 of the time) get the "your session may have timed out or the host may have gone offline" message. We need to do a shut down of that PC and then restart in order for me or anyone else to be able to connect to it using LogMeIn. I've tried uninstalling LogMeIn and reinstalling it but the issue persists. This PC is about a year old and running the latest version of Windows 10. Any suggestions? Something has changed. On 3 different computers with different mouse(s), the right click speed or something has changed. A single right click opens a drop down box and immediately closes it. It is now very touchy. It acts lick it is receiving a double right click. Can't be the computer settings because it happens on all kinds of different equipment.
