In the world today of many working from home it seems like it would be a good enhancement to be able to see more about what they are doing. In addition to the duration of the session I was hoping to find something that might indicate more statistics such as keystrokes, mouse clicks, volume of data transmitted, etc. Basically see that when somebody is working remotely they are actually “working” and not sleeping or taking a nap! LogMeIn reports on the model and OS, but not the version in any Inventory report. It is something that LogMeIn records in when you go to the dashboard for a specific machine, it provides the build no, which would suffice for reporting to Cyber Essentials. Can the build no be added to the Inventory Report? It would make it much easier for your clients to provide full inventory information when working toward the Cyber Essential accreditation. Hi All. We have a staff member using Starlink satellite internet and they cannot connect to the hamachi VPN using it. They have no problem tethering to mobile or other internet connections with that laptop using Hamichi but as soon it try and use start link as internet it will not connect. So we have isolated the problem to the starlink connection - has anyone else had this experience? Does anyone know if there is a compatibility issue that cannot be overcome because of the nature of IP changes with satellite? Does anyone know how to get Pro to play nicely when using a Security product that is doing TLS/SSL decryption? We've been having major disconnect issues with Pro after enabling TLS/SSL decryption but the details on the client error message isnt showing me which cert the client is getting, just says error negotiating SSL connection. I've already tried whitelisting the Logmein at the app level and the TLD (logmein.com) so the traffic doesnt get inspected but we are still having major issues. Are there other domains that need to be whitelisted? From the server shown in the connection they are all subdomains of logmein.com which has already been whitelisted. This is the only product we have that doesn't appear to play nicely with TLS/SSL decryption. I am having an issue with LogMeIn, that seems to be hitting more and more of my machines. I have 87 computers at 5 sites. All 87 have been working through LogMeIn, and then last week we had one computer go into this new funky mode, and failed to work. I swapped out that PC, and the PC I swapped it with then had the same problem. I have a 3rd machine at another site, that also just started doing it. (The other 84 machines are still working just fine, including all the machines at the same sites as the non-working ones) The problem is this: When the first attempt to connect is made, it hangs after authenticating, and the drops. The error message says the connection was lost. The second attempt to connect hangs in the same place, but then comes back saying that the host is already in a session (with the last IP/user that attempted to connect the first time) I have attempted to use the reboot options to restart the logmein service, but that doesn't seem to work. I can use that same menu to push a reboot, and that will work successfully. (I can also push the reboot through Windows from Active Directory, or with Powershell). When the machine reboots, the first attempt to connect is cleared, and attempting to connect after the reboot puts you back at receiving the "Lost connection" error, and back in line to receive "already connected" if you try again from there. Booting the computer into SafeMode with Networking and LogMeIn, does seem to make it work. But then it is in safemode, and not very usable. I have various client machines which for no obvious reason refuse to let me open working command prompts, when I do so all that happens is a black window opens with a 110x41 sign in the middle that then clears to show nothing more than "Connection closed." at the top left. Nothing seems to resolve this, I have removed and reloaded the software at both ends of the connection with no change to the problem. It is really inconvenient to have to remotely take control of a machine rather than be able to run a background cleanup script or to stop/start services without disrupting a client. i have 3 monitors in the office (remote) I have 2 monitors at home (host) Before I leave work, I move all programs/documents off of my third screen in the office. But when I open an attachment (word doc or PDF) from an email, the document opens on my 3rd screen in the office, which I can't see at home. I ask someone in the office to drag the document to one of the 2 screens I can see, that works for that 1 document. When I open another document, it opens again on the 3rd screen I can't see. I thought if the document was closed on the screen I needed it on, that subsequent documents would also open on the same screen. The best solution I have is to unplug the 3rd monitor when I leave the office and plug it back in when I am back in the office. Over the past several months, whenever I try to access my home computer (the Mac) from my office computer, it's 50/50 on whether I can see and use the Mac or simply get a black screen. I am trying to log in with my customer's LogMeIn account, in order to subscribe for another year. I provide the username and password, it says that it is sending a code to her email, and it never goes. I have admin access to her email so I can see that it is not actually hitting her mail server. Found another thread from four years ago suggesting that you can go to another logmein.com website and the notifications will send if you use these servers. However, this solution no longer works. Tried calling support on the 00 61 1800 091 811 number, but that was a pointless exercise also. How to stop users from changing options like blank screen, printer, audio, etc
Hi there, we have around 40 clients on our small business Pro account. We routinely run into issues where a computer locks up but because the blank screen option was enabled on the users end, we are unable to troubleshoot the problem when physically at the workstation. I would like to know if there is a way to administrate what user accounts are able to change these settings, or if we will need to get Central on top of Pro to be able to lock controls like that. I having an issue with a new setup on a M1 Mac Mini (running 12.5) and LogMeIn Central. I've installed the host program on the Mac, but I'm unable to connect after a reboot. Just recently this situation occurred. I can see that the 2nd monitor is active, but when I switch to it, nothing appears on any monitor. The window seems to be "virtually minimized", meaning that the the width is nil and the height is full. If I do a mouse-over on the taskbar (client side), I can maximize the screen. I can also switch to single monitor mode and switch between monitors. I cannot resize the monitor to fit any of my monitors. I logged in to a remote computer and it asked to reset the password for the local account after logging in. I entered the old password and then pasted a generated one from Lastpass into the fields. When I hit enter to move on, it cleared the boxes and asked me to do it again, except now neither password is recognized as the old password. Hello, Scenario: I have a Windows 10 PC at work hooked up to a 4K Display. I am currently trying to connect to it at home. I have tried on both my Windows 10 desktop and laptop, which both have 4K displays but I am having the same problem on both. Problem: When I log in, if the color quality is in HD I get a black screen, which seems to be a common problem in these forums. When I lower the color quality everything displays, BUT the one program I need to use. Revit, a 3D CAD Software, will boot up and open files, but only the interface will show and not any of the content I need to work on. the workspace is blank. When I connect to a machine and login before opening the remote desktop it shows a bunch of stats one of them is Last Booted and shows the time in either days, hours or minutes since the laptop was last booted. I have been talking to some users that swear they shutdown the laptop every night yet it shows Last Booted as days ago. Does this stat only track from when the user selects reboot and doesn't update if the person selected Shutdown? I was looking under help (aka ?) from my GoTo (aka Logmein) and would like to see a feedback button that goes to the technical staff for review and consideration. No such thing. I really think this would be a valuable item to have for both the user and the development support staff. The other feature that I really need, is while on the blank screen option once remoted on my computer, I need a pop up that warns anyone on the other side that the computer is being used remotely. And, better yet an option to chat with them or they with me. My staff often uses internet music.
