I would like to present to you the suggestion for improvement requested by our client Grupo Tenco. They would like LogMeIn Antivirus to be able to be uninstalled remotely via the Central web dashboard, in the same way that antivirus installation is done. The request is due to a problem faced by them where the antivirus started to consume 99% of the CPU of windows server 2012 computers after a windows update and it is not possible to remotely access the computer to stop the antivirus or stabilize the processing level of the machine pausing the antivirus through the Central web panel, as they are cloud servers the scenario is even more complicated, because without being able to access remotely and because there is no possibility of accessing locally to uninstall the Antivirus, the machine is stuck at 99 % CPU usage, nothing he does solves it Remote antivirus uninstall would be a perfect feature to save customers in such cases.GregorM2 years agoActive Contributor523Views0likes1CommentWindows update repository
The current LMI Windows update feature has it's flaws and reports incorrectly. The Windows update page on LMI Central reports the device as green with 0 pending updates. However, this also happens when the devices has not received any updates, for example with a fresh install and there's connectivity issues to the Windows update service. This results in incorrect details within the Windows update page. Can LogMeIn please use a Windows update repository or similar where it will compare what KB patches and current updates are installed and compare those to a baseline? Relying on the LMI Windows update facility currently does not fill confidence in the patch level of the operating systems. We are now performing this manually but this is the number one feature as to why we use LMI. Thank you.HappyHippo2 years agoContributor504Views0likes0CommentsIntegrity checks on LMI / repair installation
We have various devices that have been deployed over the years and for some reason, random devices (a few hundred) appear to be missing files within the LMI installation folder. For example, a third_party_host_x64.exe is missing, libwaapi.dll, libwaheap.dll, libwalocal.dll, libwaremoval.dll, libwaresource.dll, libwautils.dll are also missing. We are having to script these across via LMI One2Many into the installation directory or reinstall LMI. These devices are not physically accessible due to their location. After doing this, it allows us to detect AV versions etc... but this is a manual task. We really need to see an integrity check that can be initiated remotely or is run routinely. If a file is detected as missing or the integrity hash check fails, it should be downloaded and replaced with the correct version or a repair. We also have devices reporting 22 critical pending Windows updates available but on the device there's 0 updates pending - this is happening on 70+ devices now. Forcing a check for updates via the LMI Central panel returns 22 updates pending, even after multiple restarts and manual check for updates via the Windows update tool. Something is wrong. The update feature on devices that are missing these files are not fixed with an update, the dll files are still missing.814Views0likes1CommentMDM Deployment for Macs

The new Application Update system. I know it is very basic by design but a little too basic. I know you can run an inventory of applications but that shows all applications installed. What would be nice is to get a report of the applications and versions that is being managed by Application Update. Then you could see where you are. Be able to confirm applications are updated and what version everyone is running. I see a simple addon to the current inventory report to maybe give an option for just managed apps. When CMOS goes out on a remote (un-attended) PC Log Me In see it as offline and we cannot remote into it. We have to physically have someone change the battery - however - even them we cannot remote in to make configurations. We end having to send a replacement, have that one shipped back and we have to replace the battery in house and and re configure the time to current. Hi, We would like to see the option to bulk deploy the host to mac with the Deployment package we create as it currently exists for Windows devices. LogMeIn (LMI) apparently currently does not support wake on LAN (WoL) functionality for any computer which uses "Modern Standby". Here's a link to Microsoft's website for some background info. According to this document from Dell (link), Dell will no longer support disabling Modern Standby. So that appears to indicate that LMI will no longer support any Dell computer going forward. Realistically, at some point this could affectall computers assuming that other computer manufacturers/OEMs follow Microsoft's push to Modern Standby. At least in my case, my affected computerswillstillsuccessfully wake when they receive the WoL packet from any other tool. So although complete and full LMI support for Modern Standby might take some time to develop, it seems like a workaround could be implemented by LogMeIn developers in the meantime. Since these computers do successfully respond to WoL packets, it seems like it should just be a matter of making the LMI servers believe it so that they can send the commands which generate the WoL packet. I can provide more details, talk to developers (or whoever), maybe even help beta test if desirable. But please add support.etb7 months agoActive ContributorInvestigating3KViews0likes14CommentsAllow each user to create personalized list of groups

It would be a really great feature if LogMeIn Central could provide a DDNS label next to the IP address when viewing the properties of the LogMeIn end user. See sample screenshot below. LogMeIn is in a great position to provide this feature as LogMeIn always knows the client computer’s public IP address. Currently my end users do not know how to set up DDNS on their home/business routers and if LogMeIn could provide this service, I could use this feature in the corporate firewalls and cloud service that we maintain. We could use this feature to automatically restrict access to services to the actual end user’s public IP address. Currently we do this manually and whenever the client’s IP address changes, we have two problems: 1) the client looses access to the restricted services 2) we have to edit the corporate firewall to change the clients IP address. If LogMeIn provided a DDNS host name along with the IP address, we could automate this change and the client would always be able to access the restricted services. There are other reasons for doing this too. For example, we could add the clients DDNS entries to our up time monitor’s and could then be alerted to client issues as they happen so we can take proactive actions to address outages and such. I look forward to the day that this feature is added to my LogMeIn Central dashboard!IT-Guy-Michigan3 years agoNew MemberDeclined1.7KViews0likes3CommentsLogMeIn Client credentials
