Losing Support?
Is LogMeIn Central less of a priority now that GoTo Resolve seems to be the company's main IT support software? I've had several issues since they rebranded as GoTo - sessions hang, I disconnect and it locks the host computer. Then I can't get back on because it still thinks there's a session. Having to restart the computer to get LogMeIn to work again seems the only solution.zdwyer2 years agoNew Member716Views0likes1CommentCannot start remote CMD

There's a bug where when interfacing with the list of computers below the search box. When typing in the search box, the results below populate correctly, but when you start hovering over the results, you'll see old or stuck results that cannot be correctly interacted with. I created a step through set of snap shots where I typed in corp, then moved the mouse down the results. As you can see, the results change to other stuff, and you see the buttons show up for a computer, as If I had clicked on one, but I did not click on one. The buttons only show up when you hover over them one at a time. Please update your program and fix visual glitches like this, I've become accustomed to using process explorer to force close the app and reopen it as this is the only way to close the set of processes with the LMI ignition.Wade42 years agoNew Contributor823Views0likes2Comments- MNMHenrichs2 years agoRegular Visitor727Views0likes1Comment

LogMeIn Display Issues - Mac OS 11.6 (Big Sur) & 12.2 (Monterey)
After searching endlessly for a fix to this issue, I have resorted to posting what I am experiencing. I handle LogMeIn on (let's just call it) a lot of Mac computers for our organization. I have repetitively run into an issue with Big Sur & Monterey when remoting into a client computer that looks like the following (logos/client's name have been removed): When this happens, I cannot see anything on the client's computer, however, my mouse movements & clicks WILL register. The only known fix is to physically visit the client's computer and un-check/re-check all security settings for LMIGUIAgent. This poses an issue as some of our client computers are sent worldwide after preparation. I did see a post recommending trying a caffeinate command for Macs with the M1 chip - our Macs have Intel chips. I did see a post recommending lowering BIOS security levels - we can't do this. We must have Full Security & a BIOS password set for every machine. Sample Computer (experiencing issue) Specs: Mac OS Monterey (12.2.1) Mac Mini (2018) Intel Core i5 3 GHz 6-Core Processor 8GB RAM Intel Graphics My Computers Specs: Mac OS Monterey (12.2.1) MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020) Intel Core i5 Quad-Core Processor 16GB RAM Intel Iris graphics Any input on this issue would be appreciated because it has truly become an issue within our organization.Solvedbarceneaux2 years agoActive Contributor5.5KViews1like10CommentsUsing a stuck key to appear active
Since Covid, we have users still working from home and the company is okay with that but recently I remoted into a machine and saw the "g" typed repeatedly for 132 pages of Word. I have searched and cannot find anything in Central help or support that talks about how Logmein treats computers connected to KVM. I am trying to maximize office space by reducing the number of monitors taking up desk space. I have already used HDMI dummy plugs that have reduced the monitors down from 2/computer to 1/computer, but I would like to reduce even furtherto 1 monitor per 2 computers using KVM switches. I know that at least 1 monitor must be physically plugged into a computer in order for LogMeIn to work, so will LogMeIn Central recognize a monitor as existing if it is plugged in via a KVM switch? If so, will it do so for both computers at the same time, regardless of which is active on the KVM switch?LordKaerthon2 years agoNew Member859Views0likes0CommentsLMI Agent Install through Intune

I need to reinstall the Logmein Host on one of my computers that recently crashed and needed full reinstallation. However redownloading the host to my PC is not working out, when logging in, it want me to upgrade my subscription to add the computer to Logmein though I just want to reinstall same PC (Stick-PC in my account) and not actually add an extra PC. And yes, the crash took away the originial download file, that might have worked. Also, if I try to generate a new download link for my computer, it is refused because an upgrade of the subscription is needed. I even deleted an old PC from my account, no longer used, but it didn't help. I was careful not to delete the actual PC from the account until I am sure it is necessary, still I have one less PC on my account so it should have worked. My subscription plan is the one following the excpencive one time payed iOS Logme Ignition client app, not the PC plan btw if there is question about licencing. Meaning I remote control only from Ipad, not from PC. Regards Thomas Henden.thenden3 years agoNew Contributor3.1KViews0likes5CommentsWake on LAN - Everything works except through LMI. Potentially interesting Registry findings?
Hello, I know that WoL is sometimes difficult to get working, and there has sometimes been a contentious history between LMI and WoL. However, I have always been able to (eventually) work around the issues, and I have been maintaining dozens of computers for years which I have been able to remotely switch on through LMI. But I have a couple new computers that I just installed, and there seems to be nothing that I can do to convince LMI that they are able to be switched on remotely - even though WoL works fine using other software. I think the most important fact again is that I am able to WoL these computers in question without any issue at all when using other WoL software (other than LMI). So I'm about as confident that I can be that I have the myriad of potential WoL-killing options configured correctly. LMI control panel, BIOS, deep sleep blocked, numerous NIC options in device manager, fast startup disabled, etc. There are lots of other switched on computers in the same LAN as these two new computers in question. I also have 0 issues using LMI to remotely control these computers once they are already awake. But when these two new computers are shut down or asleep, LMI just forever shows them as unable to be remotely switched on (see image). It used to be a workaround that I could convince LMI to allow the remote switching on by: disabling WoL in the LMI control panel, reboot the computer, re-enable WoL in the LMI control panel, and then reboot the computer again. But that hasn't worked this time. I also tried switching LMI on and off and restarting lots of times, and also uninstalling and reinstalling LMI. Something I noticed in further debugging is that registry keys seem different between these 2 new computers and other computers which are working fine. Specifically, Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LogMeIn\V5\WebSvc\CachedWolStatus has a value of 1 on all of the other computers that I checked, but it has a value of 3 on these two computers which are giving me WoL issues. If I disable WoL from the LMI control panel, this registry key switches to a value of 2. If I re-enable WoL from the LMI control panel, this registry key switches back to a value of 3. If I manually set this registry key to a value of 1 to match other computers, it gets automatically reset to 3 any time I restart the computer or restart the LMI service. The CachedWolParams key matches other computers (except obviously for the host MAC address values). Can someone(s) confirm what this registry key is on your computers which are able to be remotely switched on through LMI? Can LogMeIn ( AshC ?) comment and/or recommend other steps that I can take to try to resolve this issue?etb3 years agoActive Contributor2.3KViews0likes3CommentsCopy and paste in remote CMD

It seems that the 1.3.5282 update has introduced a few issues in my environment that I am having trouble tracking down. Wonder if others are seeing these things. These issues are on home equipment that I do not manage but support on a best effort basis, so I'm limited in what I can/am willing to do. Home equipment (clients) is a mix of OSes. All hosts are Win 10. The more severe of the two issues is that the client application simply will not launch. You launch the application, you see the process for a moment in Task Manager, but then it closes immediately with no feedback. This has occurred on Windows 10 computers and a Windows 7 computer. I uninstalled the application, deleted all LMI folders from programdata and appdata, and installed an older version I fortunately had saved and instructed the users to not install updates when prompted. The other issue is that the remote computer looks blurry. We've gone through all the resolution options on the host and client side, as well as changing color depth and zoom settings to no avail. This has happened on Windows 10 and Mac clients.trflmiuser3 years agoActive Contributor2.2KViews1like5CommentsBlack screen while connecting to a remote computer
