Computer name (hostname) removed
Why was the hostname removed from the android client when looking at device information. This info was very useful for those cases when LogMeIn decides it can't connect. Telling Windows to restart anyway solves the problem - BUT - I don't have logmein installed. Have scanned for viruses with several products. I need to set values for a few custom fields and am getting an error response from the API service. I'm able to use all of the other API calls with no problem, just setting a value to custom fields has an issue. I get this response with both PowerShell invoke-restrequst and in Postman: { "errorCode": "d729835050", "message": "An error occurred. If this problem happens again, please contact customer support at https://logmein.com/support and quote the error code." } The response code is 200 OK. Trying different fields or computers doesn't help. I've contacted LMI support first of course and have a ticket open but haven't gotten any word back from them as they have sent the ticket to their API team. All - we currently manage patching with logmein - it's a bit janky in that it seems users can still install updates if they choose to, even before we push them out. With that in mind, is there an easy way to prevent users from installing feature updates or, more to the point, numerical updates? A small number of our users (20 of 500+) have to use an old remote access site for a partner, they log in using IE and then click a link to their remote session. The link uses an RDP ActiveX control that starts the Windows RDP session, the connection starts then reports a failure: Because of a protocol error at the client (0x1104) this session will be disconnected If we suspend LMI AV the session gets created successfully and connects OK. I've tried disabling different components in the AV policy (Firewall / Traffic Scan etc) and setting anti-malware to lowest option but it still blocks the RDP control from connecting. Is there any way to check the logs on one of the effected devices to see exactly which component of LMI AV is stopping the traffic? If so, where exactly are the logs, I found a few different logs but can't see anything useful I disabled Silent Mode and checked the console immediately after the session fails but theres nothing displayed in there as being blocked. Microsoft has pushed out Windows 10 2004 to my workstations in our office and now screen blanking no longer works. My employee's are working remotely and rely on screen blanking for privacy. My company handles many sensitive items and this issue is causing havoc as I'm now having to move computers to new locations to protect information. Worst still LogMeIn has no detection method to caution the user that screen blanking is not working. Employee's are at home looking at confidential information for anyone in our office to see thinking the screen blanking is working unless informed by someone in the office. I've tried most of the fixes people would normally do, update drivers, enable disable hardware acceleration, remove and reinstall monitor drivers, display adapters. I've tried AMD, Intel, and Nvidia Graphics cards and the issue remains. I opened the support case13356680 but that did not really provide any resolution and i was directed to call in. I talked with an agent where we looked at a few different items but found no resolution. In talking with development I was told 2004 is beta and unsupported??? Considering the size of LMI I would think you guys would be testing on the preview channel's to head off issues like this. Does anyone else have the issue? Has anyone figured out a workaround other than rollback of a system to the 1909 version? Over the past 7 years we always run into issues where our antivirus gets upgraded by the manufacturer (Symantec) and LMI is slow to catch up and support it. Every single time this has happened I call into support, mention the old tickets to show a history of this issue and specifically reference how I have always been told that “OESIS is out of date and once it’s updated, this issue will be resolved”. Before LMI joined with Go To Meeting, the support team was awesome and knew their product, after I reported this, the issue was always resolved within 30 days, however when I last reported this to support, they couldn't wrap their heads around it and insisted that I uninstall the current, latest version of AV in favor of an older one, why would ANYONE do such a thing? I again referenced an older case, which was EXACTLY what I was experiencing and the matter was never followed up on but now the situation is getting worse because Symantec, as well as every other AV, is always upgrading, changing, adapting, etc. Is the lack of follow-up because LMI has its own AV now? Or is it because the new support no longer has a solid understanding of the product? When this was last reported in November of 2018, LMI fully supported Symantec Hosted Endpoint Protection, 3.00.00.2701 however Symantec was at version 3.00.20.2796, since then Symantec has upgraded to version 3.00.31.2817 and LMI still has not caught up. What is the point of paying for a service to help monitor and maintain your computers when the product doesn’t accurately report the status of your computers, specifically the AV status? Hi I've been having this issue for a while, both on upgrade installs and on clean ones, though I am able to connect to any machine perfectly fine with other devices, ie my iPad or iPhone. I log into LMI Central, click on a computer to connect to, and it brings up the username and password prompts before taking me to the dashboard for that machine. It also then brings up the prompt asking me to download the LMI applet, which I grant. It downloads, and then when I click on it I get two notifications at once, which when separated out are in the screenshot attached. One asks me if I want to open the application for the first time, the other is similar but asking if I want to open it because it's downloaded from the internet. All fine, though usually it's only the second one about being from the internet that appears on such occasions. I'm also aware that now and again this will involve going into System Preferences > Security & Privacy and sorting out the permissions for the app to run (second screenshot attached showing that this ISN'T flagging for LMI). However, as soon as I click through the messages above, nothing happens. Focus changes to LogMeIn Client on the top menu bar and I can go to Preferences, Check for Update etc, but there is no connection to the computer I have chosen. If I quit the app by right-clicking on the icon on the dock and choosing Quit, the app closes and the download is deleted. I repeat this process, but am met with the same results. I am using Mac OS 12 Monterey beta, but this was also occurring on Big Sur, and as indicated at the top, whether or not this was on a new, clean install or an upgrade from another version of the OS. If I use the LMI Client app that I already have installed then I am able to connect to the machine I need to without issue, but I should also be able to connect via the original method, also. Hi folks. Weird issue here. I use a gaming headset on my home computer for audio output/input. My old one was falling apart so I got a new one, and ever since I have not been able to get remote sound to work when I remote in via LogMeIn. Prior to the new headset, remote sound worked just fine. Nothing else has changed (no LogMeIn updates, no Windows updates, no driver updates). I've looked around on line and tried to tinker with the audio output/input settings, but nothing appears to be working. I am using LogMeIn to connect to my client’s computer. The client has Windows 7 Pro running on a Dell 980. I am running Windows 7 pro on an HP z210 Someone installed Truekey on the Dell 980. The client’s monitor is larger than mine and LogMeIn did a good job of screen management. Before Truekey was installed, LogMeIn ran fast. Now when I connect to the Dell 980, the screen is slow to respond and the screen seems to refresh slowly. Also I have to pan the screen now. LogMeIn seems to have no way to manage the difference in screen size. Q1.) Just wondering if it’s planned to move all the functionality of LogMeIn Central to function on TLS 1.2. As of now TLS 1.1 is needed for One2Many & Remote Execution to function at the moment. While using the LogMeIn Client, if you use the “Open the command prompt / powershell” button. It uses TLS 1.0 for the user sending the command, while the receiving end get’s it in TLS 1.1. Now I don't know if other features of LogMeIn Central uses anything older than TLS 1.2. Though if it does we would like to see them moved to TLS 1.2 (or at least functionable in TLS 1.2). Unable to connect to any computers due to CORS policy violation
I'm unable to connect to any computers in LogMeIn Central. According to the browser console, this is due to a violation of the CORS policy: Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'https://api.services.logmein.com/hosts/1250XXXXX/connection/remote-control' from origin 'https://secure.logmein.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: Response to preflight request doesn't pass access control check: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Been struck with several unusual behaviors and have found a temporary solution for anyone who may be afflicted. Three identical computers (hardware wise) suddenly started showing up at a locked resolution of 1024x768. Manually switching and resolution matching did nothing - they changed and immediately changed back to the low resolution. Two of the machines also suffered a continual popping of a Native Resolution message, reporting that the resolution was far below the native resolution of 2048xsomething, which is also wrong. This message continually popped, rendering the computer unusable, since it was always pulling focus. However, One of the computers was stuck not at 1024x768 but instead 1600x1200. This was not directly coincident with any driver or Windows Updates. Seemingly completely at random. One day, nothing worked. Excluding the troubleshooting, I silenced the display resolution warnings when I eventually drove all the way to where the machines were. Two systems manifested phantom secondary monitors. I "merged" them with display mirroring in Display Settings. Over LogMeIn sessions, I changed the color depth to the middle value, instead of HD, and suddenly all of my problems were gone.
