Please Improve the timer tool
Dear Team, I'd suggest, that you improve the timer tool. Right now, you can set up a timer from about 0 - 10 minutes. If a set 2 minute timer runs up, you will be able to restart the timer. Though, in case the timer is stopped at 1:30 for example, there is no way to reset the timer directly on 2 minutes other then again set up a completely new 2 minute timer. This is highly appreciated. We need you to bring back the red circular pointer from the original version. We are a landscape construction firm who uses the platform to present CAD and photo concept images to clients. The red pointer was the only instrument we used while using GoToMeeting as we hover over all the new elements of our designs. Clients typically use GTM on their tablets and are unable to follow or see our cursor when we present due to their smaller screen size. We even tried increasing the size of our cursor and/or changing the color of it, but unfortunately your program defaults it to the standard small size white center, black outlined cursor. A further concern is when we present our second monitor, the cursor is not visible on the attendees monitor. This was not a problem on the prior version. Why were these basic items removed from the new version, please return them to the platform. We are aware of the highlighting tool on the new version, but it is overkill for our needs. Having a built in dark mode option for the Go To Meeting website application and desktop application would be very useful. For me, I have sensitive eyes, so the the bright backgrounds can cause issues for me. [New Goto App] Please add an alternate keypress to cancel a remote control. I don't even know why we need to cancel it! But if you really think this is needed, I beg that you provide an option to set a different shortcut-key for this - so that the ESC keypress is passed to the remote session. For me, it means that I struggle to use the Linux Text editor (vi) as it uses the ESC key to exit an edit mode. But I see from other reports that it is used in many other scenarios. I was frustrated to find that the ability to request guest screen share and guest mouse control from the contextual menu next to the guest's name was absent. Participants may be in a noisy environment. The lack of push to talk creates extra hassle of constantly having to mute, then unmute with the mouse control (even when participants are wearing headphones). Push to talk would solve this. All VoIP users should be able to assign their own PTT hotkey. When pressed it unmutes the mic, and when released, mutes it again. Many voice chat programs like Ventrillo, Teamspeak, and Mumble, have PTT. Shouldn't there be a key or a meeting password so anyone who you pass on that information should be able to start a meeting. We use Goto meetings for centralized meeting and the original host doesn't have to be present, but this limitation of goto meeting gets us in trouble if the host calls in sick or is unable to make it to the meeting. I think it is a big limitation as we are calling people at home on vacations to start the meetings. Hi, With the new app, it is not possible for two organizers to record. I understand the options, with cloud recording. My partner and I want the option back where both of us were able to record sessions so if one had an internet issue, we could rest assured that the other had a good recording. Please put back this option. I am not sure why it was taken away, but this is a huge deal to us and may require us to go to another provider after years of using GoToMeeting. When I host a group client session and talk to one client at a time, and a new client signs on after the call has started, the client will often log in with an enabled camera, disrupting the call flow. I used to be able to disable that while still talking to the current client, but now I can't do it. This enhancement isn't a luxury request; it's an essential function that this platform used to offer and that other platforms, including Zoom, allow you to do as an admin. Currently only pinned commentary can be viewed and attendees must wait until the session ends for a download of the chat history for the session. This feature will allow all chat to be viewed from any device throughout the session and with multiple log off and back on or if the call is dropped for some. I should be able to contact support and ask for a downloadable archive or a list of direct download links to the videos for a given account. When I enter the application, I select the video, I go to share, I select specific users and I capture the email, but the application only allows me to share it to 25 users, which is why I cannot share it to all students. I am promoting the video courses in schools and I am currently in talks with several of them, to finalize the sale of the video courses, I definitely cannot share the recordings due to the limitation that the application has. I think that tomorrow I will be able to sell the video courses to students from other schools, so for a server it would be important for the application to have no limitation on sharing the recordings. Hi, My company uses GTM for our internal video conferencing and with clients, except where client prefers to use their own platform. As a result, we have recent experience with MS Teams and Zoom. One thing that we're noticed (while overall preferring GTM) is that the other two platforms handle low-light video much better. My home office is not dark but the video always looks dark, but only on GTM. My guess is that the other platforms are doing something automatically to correct low light situations and to optimize the video settings. If GTM can't do that, at the very least, it would be great to have access to the brightness, contrast, etc video settings that we had in the old GTM desktop app (thanks for recently providing the ability to zoom video in the new GoTo app!!). That way, we could optimize our own video. Because when invitees click on the 'About the host' link, they're navigated away from the Meeting's Landing page instead of opening the host's URL in anew window leaving the Meeting Landing page still visible/accessible; which is a much better UX in my opinion. I am the administrator for several users in our firm. I was looking for a report that would show the attendees detail for one of our users meeting. In the admin center, if I select the user and meeting history, I have a choice for Meeting Diagnostics for the meeting. If clicked, I can see each attendee, the time of each connection and whether the connection was good/fair, etc. There is also a graph at the top which shows information about the quality of connections throughout the meeting. I was trying to find a report that would print this information as I am seeing it on the screen and cannot find one. Doing a print from the browser does not produce as good a report as I am seeing. I'm using the GoTo app specifically for GoToMeeting, Version 0.124.21. After select Record in order to record the meeting, the older version of the product would prompt user to convert the recording after closing the meeting. The new version of the app doesn't prompt and automatically saves the recording. While the automatic recording and lack of having to convert is nice what is completely unusable is the result of the automatic recording file size. We record too many meetings to have this result of the size of the file. For example, I recording a 2 hour meeting with the older GoToMeeting is the file size/type 102,844 KB WMV File. The new GoTo results in a 1,352,678 KB WEBM File. Have a way to be able to set the date format that GoToMeeting uses when booking a meeting. GoToMeeting only uses mm/dd/yyyy however here in the UK we use dd/mm/yyyy. This has resulted in a meeting being scheduled for the wrong day. We faced an unacceptable issue with the GoTo app on the tablet. We cannot normally conduct meetings and demos with our customers. Which makes it impossible to use GoTo app further. If one user (user A) is sharing the screen from the desktop app, the user on the tablet (user B) can see it only on the half of the screen. The other half of the screen is just dark space. Hi team, Please don't ignore this feature it will be very helpful for everyone. Feature: Individual user should be able to see that his voice is reaching to team member with sign of Green, red or yellow indicator so that he doesn't need to ask participant that he/she is audible or not. Scenario1: If user voice is clearly audible to other participants then it should show green indicator or some green sign to that individual person. Scenario2: If user voice is breaking in between then he should see the Audio indicator in Yellow. Scenario3: Incase user audio is not reaching to participate it should show red indicator. Technical Logic: When user talks the voice goes to other participants so same voice we can get back and depends upon that audio quality we can show these indicators to user. A recorded meeting is easily shared with a link, but I have no idea how many times it's been clicked and if it has, by whom. Customer asked for the function to have either a slide bar or the possibility for more preconfigured values when zoom is adjusted. Currently there is no possibility other then the 100% 75% 50% 25% as preconfigured values. There is also no way to enter a value for the percentage of magnification. The scroll function of the mouse can be used to zoom in and out but this is not obvious to the users and also most are using a laptop with touchpad. Good evening! We have been using the new GoTo Meeting stuff today. I would like to make some suggestions about the drawing tools. I would like to speak with someone regarding the size of the drawings (way too big - it felt like using a huge highlighter, even with the smallest size - I'd love a small thin line or drawing tool like the classic pen tool). We also noticed that there were no right click options, on the pen tools. Those were very handy. I used those to switch colors, flip between mouse pointer and pen, and erase all drawings. I'd love to see those come back in to play. The other item of concern was the actual drawings themselves. I felt like the new drawings were much more edgy and not as smooth (missing pieces or adding tapered ends when they weren't wanted). Anyways, I use the drawing tools a ton for my presentation. I would love to give some input there. On positive side, I did like the undo option and also the size selection. I also liked the semitransparent options. I can't see the Labs option any longer, despite using ctrl+shift+L to add the option back. Is there another way to get access to the Rectangle feature, or is there another way to share virtual zones/displays as if they were a separate physical display? I need to share multiple applications, but have an ultrawide monitor, so sharing the entire screen isn't going to work. The polling feature already exists in Webinar and Training. I think it would be great to include it in Meeting as well. My organization only uses Meeting and it is very frustrating to have to use Zoom whenever we want to poll participants. For the various Reports in Admin Center, especially the Usage Report, please include Co-Organizers in the data. Or provide a Co-Organizer report. GTM Support has confirmed that the reports do not account for Co-Organizers. We have several licensed users that show as not having any meetings in the reports. Thus, it looks like they don't use the account. The reality is that administrative assistants are scheduling the GTM meetings in their own account and setting these other GTM licensed users as Co-Organizers. When using PowerPoint, if you have multiple monitors, you can designate a monitor to view your speaker notes, and the other one (geared for the audience) would only see the slide deck. With only one monitor, you cannot view your speaker notes. I would like to think that if I am presenting a gotomeeting, there are multiple monitors involved. It would be a great patch if the gotomeeting module counted as a virtual monitor so I could designate my monitor shows the speaker notes while the audience only saw the presentation. I know, I can print the notes or view them on another device...
